First record that was bought for me was ... The Beatles.. an EP with 4 songs on... 'Twist And Shout, A Taste Of Honey, Do You Want To Know A Secret and There's A Place' I was 2 at the time and apparently I used to do the twist whenever I heard 'Twist And Shout' even in Lewis's record department.. how embarrassing. The first record I ever bought myself was ... Slade.. 'Sqeeze Me Pleeze Me'. |

My first was The Smurfs with Father Abraham but I can't remember the name of the song! I was very young I got it after getting one of those record players in a carry case you got years ago. |

Sealed with a Kiss ( the Brian Hyland one) Oh sue Johnny Remeber Me loved that one John Leyton wasn't it. Oh and Nut Rocker remember that one . I was having piano lessons at the time had one of the pieces was from the Nutcracker Suite. My teacher kept saying no your timing is all wrong another week. Then she said now I know why you listen to Luxembourg. Follow the music not your ears. ( she was lovely). Love the old 60's music. Germaine x |

My first must have been a shellac 78rpm bought about 1941 and was probably in the 1941 Jazz series. I probably still have it (though they were easily broken) among six or seven hundred others, including LPs, in my loft. One day I promise myself I will transfer the best to CD. I now have several hundred CDs. They take up far less space. Len |
