I don't even base my vote in a General Election on the candidate - I look at their policies, and how they've voted on issues in the past. It's amazing how many vote for a policy one day, then against it the next!!

I shall be going to bed early (for me), and attempting to get up early.
If it goes the way I want, I'll never sleep :-D
If it goes the other way - I don't want to try to sleep whilst feeling depressed :-(

I shan't be staying up. This is the first election where I haven't got a preference for either of the main parties. We are doomed whichever one gets in. :-|

Bottle of red wine for me tonight. Celebrate or commiserate, it's all going down.

But I don't vote based on anyone's looks, any more than I would bet on a horse because it was a white one, I only bet/vote based on previous or predicted 'form'.

Of course women (and men) make informed decisions.
Women (and men) also make bad decisions, horses?...probably not so much :-)

Never mind the names, Caroline. We all know that we back them if their riders have the colours we like! :-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 8 Jun 2017 18:32

LOL Nyx not exactly helping the argument that women make informed decisions...next you'll say you back horses cos they have nice names :-D

Anyone looking at T May these last few weeks would say the same surely? she is looking pretty haggard when not lit to her advantage, the result of late nights and a fraught schedule, alongside two terror attacks and a potentially tough brexit to sort..

Even "pretty" women would not look at their best in the circumstances. I know I look like death warmed up most ( all) of the time, so observing that T May needs some beauty sleep is no more un PC than saying I do...which I do lol.

FWIW I don't think she is "pretty" ( she may have been when young don't know) , I didn't think Cameron was handsome, and Jeremy Corbyn is out of the running on looks in my eyes because he has a beard, and I don't like them lol.

I'm not having that Rollo, now that they have you down as a potential supporter. You're on the books now lad, whether you like it or not. ;-) :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 8 Jun 2017 17:33

To be fair Nyx, Rollo was saying T May needed more beauty sleep than LaGooner, the only possible conclusion from that is she's not pretty. :-D

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 8 Jun 2017 16:10

Trying to imagine it now.

Rollo, in the TM fan club. :-D :-D :-D

Cheer up, it could be worse - imagine being in the DA fan club. :-( ;-)

Rambling Report 8 Jun 2017 15:44

I don't think Rollo was commenting on female beauty as such but every time I see T May lately I think of Dr Who's comments re Prime Minister Harriet Jones, at the end of 'The Christmas Invasion' :-)

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 8 Jun 2017 11:48

But of course :-D :-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 8 Jun 2017 11:46

So there's hope for us then? :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 8 Jun 2017 11:43

I personally don't give a flying **** what people look like it is the inside that matters to me :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 8 Jun 2017 11:35

As much as this is a joke, commenting on a female beauty isn't exactly PC let alone polite. I agree there are many in power who aren't model like, in all parties.

So anyway I'll bite Rollo when did you meet her?

As to the threads question it would be lots and lots of coffee!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 8 Jun 2017 11:14

I would like to

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 8 Jun 2017 10:59

You have never met me so how would you know

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 8 Jun 2017 09:07

Nope won't stay up .

For the first time I have done a postal vote as getting to the local school has become a no no for me

I applied for a postal vote and it all went through ok and yesterday I sent it off.

So will just wait and see who gets in :-(
