Hi,

Looking for some help with a Thomas J Kennedy married to an Ellen Shine.

She married Thomas in March 1927 in Islington.

Ellen Shine was born on 8th Sept 1904 and died in June 1982 at the age of 77.

They had 5 children.

We are finding it hard to find anything more about Thomas and so any help would be very much appreciated.

I have the above information although I did not know that he was a horse driver, someone in the family did mention he used to deliver coal.

I'm wondering whether LMS RY.stands for London Midland & Scottish Railway?

Perhaps he delivered coal to the steam trains

Finally received their marriage certificate and now have the following information:

Thomas Kennedy married Ellen Shine on the 20 March 1927 in caledonian Road Islington.

Father was Edward Kennedy

Thomas was a Railway Porter.

All the above information I now have and have verified if anyone has anything they could add would be great.

It would seem that Ms Allen died prior to Ellen's birth as she has a different mother's maiden name

This marriage would 'fit' if Charlotte was herself a widow.

it is an odd one as the 1911 census has the correct children on there, but is showing that 1 had died..... i haven't the foggiest who, Plus Charlotte didn't exist before this census and a Mary did. Im struggling to find a death between 1901 and 1911 and a marriage to a Charlotte :-S

Now this is making sense!! he was a printers labourer, i have followed them both from 1918 to 1954 at their home address and she finally started putting Charlotte Mary as her name, so that also confirmed that there was just one person lol! Plus i don't have Charles, so he could be the missing child that died....
