I only knew him from his Friday night R2 show an idiosyncratic curated collection of hits old and new. For me he became an integral part of getting away for the weekend. |

The lovely Desmond Carrington has died aged 90. I first remember him as Dr Chris Anderson in Emergency Ward 10. I have listened to him for years on Radio 2. He retired late last year. |
