I have to scrutinise food labels because my husband is diabetic which is bad enough and he is considered obese so that is a constant battle. |

Even the 'lean' looking people can have internal fat around their vital organs from which many health problems start ... :-( |

I remember a client of my husbands was refused insurance as she was very overweight. Someone had to tell her this! Eventually an employee who was also a friend of the client explained that she had been refused cover as she wasn't tall enough for her weight. |

I have heard of that before and I am sure that there are occasions when it is down to genetics just like it can sometimes be down to a medical condition or treatment. |

There are quite a few lists online of foods that contain the largest numbers of calories. Apart from pure lard or pure vegetable oil, it seems peanut butter and dark chocolate rank highly on most lists. |

Roy....quite agree with you re the drinks, its the same with diet drinks, people just don't realise and of course there is a sugar replacement in all these drinks which is as bad or worse. The manufactorers are very clever at making some products look/sound like the best thing since sliced bread...and thats not the same as it used to be either:( (sliced bread). |
