My sister telephoned me to say BIL was due go in for his operation at 9.00 this morning, it was held back due to an emergency, (who identically turned out to be one of their friends who was rushed in with appendicitis)

BIL went into theatre at 3.00 pm and came out at 6.30. The surgeon removed two small tumors, these will have to go for biopsy, he will have a temporary colostomy and depending upon the results possible radio/chemo therapy. That's all the news I have at the moment.

Thinking of your bil and all your family at this worrying time. Stay hopeful - so many people, including one of our friends, have made a good recovery from the bowel operation.

Your brother-in-law and family are in my prayers today.

Hope the op has gone well for your brother in law, Paula, and he will find the strength to fight back from this. A big worry for him and for you all but so many people make a good recovery and live on for years afterwards.
