ok the second one is coming through portrait.

Are the image icons the correct orientation? In other words, when you go to your pictures folder, are the thumbnail images the correct way?

Appear so.

eRRolSheep Report 30 Jul 2013 18:32

ok - so how are you rotating the images initially?

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 30 Jul 2013 18:40

It's on scanner programme.
After scanned at top left hand corner there are 2 icons
To rotate left or right.

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 30 Jul 2013 18:46

ok this MAY be causing it.
Instead of rotating when scanning, try rotating the image after you have saved it. Open the image, rotate it as described earlier and then resave it.

'Emma' Report 30 Jul 2013 18:52

That's what I've been doing but not re saved again to folder.

eRRolSheep Report 30 Jul 2013 18:56

I'm slightly confused.
Are you rotating it in the scanner programme as well?

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 30 Jul 2013 19:01

I can only rotate it there, it's not like windows 7,
when you could rotate it at the bottom of the screen
and then save it.

I think that you are using the Photo App.

Try this...

1. Right click the bottom left corner of your screen and select Control Panel from the menu that opens.
2. in Control Panel click the Programs category.
3. Click "Default Programs" and then "Set Your Default Programs".
4. On the left side click "Windows Photo Viewer" and then select "Set This Program As Default".
5. Click OK.

What this should do is force Windows Photo Viewer to open your images rather than the Photos App.
.
Now, when you double click on a picture when you are on the Desktop you should be able to rotate etc using Windows Photo Viewer.

Hello everyone just to let you know that I at last
have worked it out with the help of Errol.
Hope you can all understand:-

Once I had scanned the document I highlighted it,
clicked on the Open icon( top R corner), select
Windows Photo Viewer, rotate to landscape and save.

Thanks again.

Emma :-)
