We are not meant to smoke in the house as it is a private rental but as I cannot get out into the garden I smoke in the large kitchen/diner with the window open (gets a bit chilly in the winter)
I used to smoke like Roy more than 40 a day and it showed on the paintwork in our last house...but have cut down to less than 10 now.

I went to see the nurse at my doctors surgery and just mentioned that I had stopped drinking alcohol...found that quite easy, even though I had probably drunk some every day for the last 15 years (quite often too much). She asked me if I still smoked and went on about trying to stop....if I wanted to, I think I could... gave up for 6 years when pregnant with first and up until second was born and was living and working in a smoke filled place for two of those years (publican)

If I did'nt smoke I would'nt get any exercise...so thats my excuse :-)

I can understand him wanting you to stop smoking in the house. Just a little somthing to think about, If you asked him to stop driving his car or stop useing spray paint cans on his car, or stop the odd drinking session, Would he? If you drive a car down the road it gives off real bad fumes that people he passes have to breath, Things in a paint spray can once used go in to the air we all have to breath, drinking while doing other things like working or driving not only effects him but others around him. Just 3 things to spring to mind.
Also if you was the one asking him not to smoke in the house & go outside each time you would like a ciggy, Would he?

It's your house & home just as much as it is his. If you would like to smoke inside then you can. or you can say your smoke in the kitchen & or another room.

Just a thought.

Trouble is Dizzi even one fag smoked in a house can make the place stink!

When I was case working for SSAFA Forces Help I used to hate having to interview smokers in their homes. Used to come home and everything I wore got chucked in wash and I then showered because pong of fags was in my hair/ body

I gave up 1995 after a blue light visit to CCU at 430 one morning. Since then had cancer (1997) and heart attack (2008) plus other probs - all down to smoking.

Read that smokers have carcogenic 'bits' sticking to their clothes!

I smoke in the house but only in the utility room with the back door open.
I am sure that OH and our 3 daughters don't even realise that this room exists.
As it houses the washing machine, dryer and a sink, there's no chance whatsoever of them actually using it!

All smokers welcome in my house, but you have to put up with the cat hairs and my husbands smelly pipe. :-) :-) :-)

Oh,and don,t remark on the cobwebs and dust.

Well then Island, (Good Afters.), I won't bother inviting you for afternoon tea at 3.00, But, Wend and Dizzi can come, but please if you are smoking roly polly's, can you please roll them in your own home. All those little tobacco bits all over me best white linen embroidered table clothe are so, infuriating.

WHY ARE YOU CROCHET TINY MICE AND CATS

Julia

Julia Report 14 Oct 2012 12:49

Dizzi, I meant to say they are appliques, to form part of a countryside collage on a cardigan for one of my great grandaughters for Christmas.
The ones I have seen on the crocheting sites on the net, are all too large. I think I have cracked it now.
