Dear Genes Team.
You must be as sick of apologising as we are for the disruption.
You are the only ones who can do anything about it.
We are just the ones who pay our subs & we are getting fewer & fewer.

Thanks for putting your response on the board it is appreciated and to be fare this problem, To the best of my knowledge is the first time this actual fault has happened on the board so i would not class this as a regular occurrence,

How ever if you need a man with a big hammer to help you out i am available at a reasonable rate plus expenses :-D

Island, I have been affected with other problems on the site,

But this particular problem to the best of my knowledge has never happened before, As i said in my post,

wisechild, Yes i do remember that thread about error messages but this to me was that you could post/start a thread and go from board to board but could not open any thread through out the site and only then did you get the error message,

So although it was a error message it was only limited to when you tried to open a thread so not the same problem as the ongoing one

Well how many actions have got the error message over the last few months - just to name a few:-

Doing a search on a board
My Threads
Clicking on a thread
Hitting the submit button when trying to add to a thread
Changing boards

But the Team seem unable to sort them out

this error notice comes up everyday without fail . it is getting people down you cannot submit articles you have typed either because the Error notice pops up. the silly thing is often you get the notice come up. and you find the reply you have typed is already on the board so you often get two or three of the same come up. and have to delete the spare ones..
so if you have not had any error notices come up then you must be very very lucky.

Roy, the point is - error messages. The fact that errors occur so often and GR say they are going to sort it then say 'it' is fixed only to have errors happen elsewhere or to a different set of members tells me that the site is very obviously not fixed.
I was in two minds about renewing last year and soon wished I hadn't but thought I might as well get my moneys worth by enjoying a bit of banter with some like minded members but now that is difficult due to errors.
I've never known any of the other sites I frequent to have so many problems - if any at all.

GB, I can add 'trying to send private messages' to your list.

Roy, I think your big hammer is the only answer. If/when you get the job can I hold your coat? :-D

It would be nice if GR were perhaps to spend a little less on sponsoring programs and spend it on fixing this bloody site. :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|
Always seem to say "we are looking into these faults" but never fixing them.

I would like to ditto what George above has said. I am totally and wholeheartedly sick of opening my Lap Top in a morning, and wondering if I am going to be able to access this site, without any problems. Look after the membership you have already got, before you go about recruiting new ones. You can't look after us, never mind anymore.
