If he died in Scotland you need Scotlands People website which is pay to view,

For a death in 2002 you cant view the cert but once you find the ref on the site you order the cert through them .costs £10 each cert

Once you bought the birth cert , hope you took note of the ref ,then you will know his parents names and can look for them too on Scotlands People.

Some of the comments on this thread are enough to put new members off looking for help. Just remember you were new to this too once and try to be patient please :-)

hi lesley its hard when you first start, we usually use this room for talking about anything as you can see, and genealogy for questions, the reason its best only to ask the same question once is it stops others looking when the answer has been found, your very welcome to chat on here to your hearts content, its nice to have a new face, i will pull up a thread if your new, you could chat amoungst us and hopefully get help alsong the way. xxxx :-D

He didn't die in England or Wales up to 2005

And please, lesley, don't post more than one thread per topic - GR rules don't allow it

How could he be born in Westminster but 'come from Scotland'?

lesley welcome to genes, if you have his name and place of birth thats a good start , you can apply for his birth certificate or death certificate, which should give other family members on that.

DO YOU KNOW what year he died xx puss
