i think muffy is entitled to expres her opinion on valentines day, without people mocking her,

if im in a relationship i stretch to a card and i do expect one back,

everything is hiked up, and i would much rather i got flowers spontaniously than because "someone" decided i should get them today

My OH thinks the same...waste of time and money.
If he came in with flowers tonight...after 38 yr,I would wonder what he has been up to lol.

Muffy, I'm sorryyou don't get what I was saying. It certainly wasn't a criticism and I'm not suggesting you are obliged to do or not do anything. I'm not into all the claptrap around Halloween so I ignore it, not because I'm obliged to but because I can't be @rsed with it. :-D It was just a joke :-\

Couldn't get over in Cheltenham, not in a flower shop but on a barrow, bunches of red roses (very pretty ) for £25. Who walks along the pavement and thinks 'Oh I'll just spend £25 on a bunch of those'?

We don't buy cards these days, gave up many years ago, although as I was making cards I did make one for him this year. And we went out to lunch which was nice, but to be honest we would probably have gone out to lunch anyway. :-D

what does make me laugh today is, people splattering all over FB how much they love each other etc, when everyone knows they dnt normally get on, or one of them has a dirty little secret, or one of them is a violent thug, total hypocrites,

That says a lot actually Stray, if some people have that sort of a releationship then they often have no confidence. I knew someone like that, that lived in a very volitile relatonship and he had led her a dogs life for weeks brought her a dozen red roses on valentines day and he was the best thing since sliced bread its pityful really
