Only just seen this Teresa. I posted on that thread myself a few mins ago. Someone gave me a Shewee a while back, but I've never tried it - think I might do now :-D |

Julia. at my tallest I was 5" 31/2 inches, have had to shorten my trousers and jeans, don't wear skirts or dresses anymore (well very rarely anyway), luckily I'm nifty with the sewing needle so can usually alter things, my Mum taught me well. :-) :-) |

Evening primrose helps but I used (still use at times) Phyto soya capsules. I found that they helped with the mood swings a lot and the sweats a little. The only problem I found was getting too used to them so having to either up the dosage or take a break. |

ZZzzz, we all lose height as we get older. I have never been very tall to begin with, so I can't afford to lose too many inches. LOLOL |

Oh the night sweats, being Mrs Grumpy Draws, periods all over the place, I was in my 30s when it happened, didn't realise that was what it was though till I was sterilised and came off the pill which was hiding the problem. |

I've become much more of a 'home bird' in the last few years (whether related to menopause or not I don't know!). I used to love going away, but now (sometimes) the thought of travel panics me. I like flying, but hate airports - the security, queues, herding about etc. We have spent a lot of time, money, effort and love on our house and garden to get it how we want it, so maybe it's just that I like spending time in it now :-D |

Thanks, you have explained the dreadful heat i am feeling at night even though itis cold. Sleeping under a sheet only most nights. And this has only started a few months ago, although I am now nearly 77. Still, better than waking freezing cold! :-D |

Sharron I can understand that. Also similar circumstances at the time. Was taking 'A' levels at local Grammar school. It also had a balcony around a central hall. I could not look down. Stairs there also became a problem as it meant I was not on the ground floor. I can also understand the bath thing. |

There were a lot of ghastly things going on around menopause time but I don't remember having any of the panicky worries then. |

Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt, and don't want to go back there. One of the worst times of my life. Nothing worked eg. chocolate, evening primrose, HRT pills. |
