Muffyxx Report 30 Dec 2011 21:14

Yep. Know what you mean Sue...like the McCann thing ( I'll say it in a whisper so no one else hears)..we both said from day one......eh? that doesn't sound right..and by god did we get stick for it !!...and sometimes still do..but if it smells odd..it smells odd and that's the end of it.

I just sometimes wish i could close my radar down and nod politely like the rest of the world seem capable of doing lol x

I don't get cynical with TV programmes - I don't watch Eastenders anyway. Adverts - always.

I do get really het up when I read something that doesn't make any sense to right-minded people who have experience of life and it's ills. Rather like reading some person's letter to Dear Marge whilst I'm sat waiting in the Doctor's surgery.

I just cannot believe that soooooooooooo much cr*p has been thrown their way without them asking for some of it. That's cynical :-D

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 30 Dec 2011 21:02

That's very true Rose....happened to me WAY too many times where I've blindly believed a sob story only to realise at a later date that I've been had.

I guess it just annoys me that others either don't or choose not to question...but then i suppose that's their business really..not mine.x

Cynicism may take the shine off life, but then, finding out you have been taken for a prize mug does the same... the only benefit of the former is that you are not likely to have given away your time/heart/money (etc) to people who didn't deserve it.

Aside from picking holes in tv plots, the one thing that has got on my nerves this Christmas is the 'snowfall' in various programmes... yes snow does blow about a bit if it's windy, but when it falls on a still night it falls downwards not up :) I'd rather they did without.

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 30 Dec 2011 19:50

when your built in radar goes into overdrive.????

Happening to me a lot at the moment.

Stuff I read, stuff I see on TV.

For example....Usually I'll just watch a programme and ignore the detail..I like to mostly just veg..but just now all i seem to see are big glaring red lights going off in my head....I'll be thinking *yeah right.......not possible* (Eastenders the other night a prime example ..but it WAS particularly full of holes lol)

I wish I could switch off the cynical little voice in my head at times...I'm sure it would make me a much more smiley person :-D
