I am a little surprised to see this still running! Have just bought some new bras in a smaller size, thats what prompted the question. I often get ideas for a thread when i am out, and have forgotten them by the time I get home! I like a change of subject now and again.

It's nice though that it has brought a smile to the boards Jean....life can become too sad...

I have a bit of "Cringe moment" when i think about knickers!! :-0

A few years ago, i lived just around the corner from the local Post Office. Opposite the Post Office was a bus stop that usually always had a long queue of people.
One day, i headed over to the Post Office, on the opposite side of the bus stop...........and "o'l nosey bags" Mrs Keeble (who was standing in the bus queue having a bit of a gossip no doubt!) called out.........."Coooeee Prickles" (Well, not Prickles exactly, cos that were'nt me name at the time! :-D)
"you have dropped something"
As you can imagine.......everyone in the bus queue was obviously interested to see what i had dropped.
So i looked back and saw something black lying on the ground.
I picked it up, and held it out..........only to find to my sheer bleddy horror that it was a pair of my knickers!! How the ell did they get there??
I stuffed them quickly into my pocket and dived into the Post Office with a face as red as a beetroot and didn't come out until i saw the that the bus had been and gone!
Before i left to go to the Post Office, i decided to get the washing in and because my arms were full, i stuffed a few things into my coat pockets. I emptied my pockets, or at least i thought i did. But obviously, there was this pair of me drawers hanging out ...that decided to make a great escape in front of "o'l nosey bags" Mrs bleddy Keeble!! :-\

Well thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it!!! :-D

At least the 'gents' (?) now know that PH wears black knickers, when she isnt stuffing them in her pockets and dropping them all over town.

ps, I did buy some thermal long johns (white) recently as the cold winds were blowing right through my fleecy trousers (into, not out of!). As I am going to the Chatham Islands in a few weeks and it is further south and a rather exposed place I thought I might need them.

I know i am going a bit off track here..........and i do apologise Jean...........but...

About a year later (after me cringeworthy knicker incident!) "O'l nosey bags" Mrs bleddy Keeble, turns up at my doorstep to congratulate me on hearing the news that i was expecting a baby. And would i like her to knit something for me.
Oh, well that is very kind of you, says i.
What would you like me to knit, she asks.
Well honestly, says i....i really don't mind.

About 6 weeks later "O'l nosey bags" Mrs bleddy Keeble, again turns up at my doorstep and presents me with a knitted shawl.
Oh, that is soo very kind of you (i say) thankyou very much indeed.

To which she replies.............that will be £8.00 you owe me!!!

Just a small thing, when I first had a false breast i hadnt sussed out that I needed quite tight fitting bra's, and I bent over in public one day only to have the falsie fall out! I nearly wet myself giggling! I've been more careful since! Do you remember the knitted swimsuits that stretched when they got wet!! Now that was embarassing.
