Wend Report 15 Aug 2011 22:53

I used to have a boyfriend who lived in Selsey, but I don't recall catching scabies.

Sharron Report 15 Aug 2011 22:48

It's Selsey for crabs. You could probably get a bit of scabies.

Wend

Wend Report 15 Aug 2011 22:45

Wend

Wend Report 15 Aug 2011 22:43

So you didn't catch any crabs for tea then?

Edit to add - Spike Milligan refers to *crabs* in his writings, but probably not those found at West Wittering :-S

Gosh Wend..........there seems to be a lot of erections and bush trimming going on at your house!!

That must be some bush you got there............if you had to climb up a ladder in order the trim it! :-0

No wonder you got a wolf wistle!! ;-)

Wend

Wend Report 15 Aug 2011 21:27

Bet that went down well in posh West Witters, Prickles. I would've enjoyed the spectacle, but had to stay home as my fireman turned up to erect posts for our new front gates and I needed to be around to trim a bush and that sort of thing. Hey, have to tell you this - when I was out on the pavement, up a ladder, trimming said bush, some White Van Men drove past and gave me a whistle. Nearly fell off the ladder :-D

Sorry to go off piste, Dizzi.

I always walked along the beach especially when it was high tide. I loved climbing over the break waters.

Sharron

Sharron Report 15 Aug 2011 19:58

Up Cakeham Road or did you walk along the beach?

heatherg Report 15 Aug 2011 19:56

I used to live in East Wittering...long ago. Then myparents moved to Bracklesham. They didn't stay long as it went dead in the winter. I have fond memories of walking from east to west. Say hello to the sea for me.

Did I ever tell you my OH met Spike Milligan.

OH was fishing off a wharf in the Woy Woy New South Wales area. A bloke walked up, sat down and they started yarning about the fishing, what was being caught., their holidays etc. You know general bloke type chat.

Years later while reading one of Spike's very funny books, we discovered a mention of the meeting.

Small world.
