I tried to change my profile picture but it will not let me

Well I do like the tick that can be added to threads by the poster, on Find Ancestors, that it has been answered.

Will save a lot of checking out that threads that have been sorted

When i click on "Change Clear" i dont get any options to change my profile picture. Am i doing something wrong? :-(

Well, I have to say I'm very disappointed! I thought that Genes Reunited by its very name was a genealogical site, Not anymore, evidently. It has turned into a real Mickey Mouse operation with its emoticons, quizes & games and member photos. No more serious genealogy research just a bunch of children playing with emoticons and photos.

Margee the serious boards and purpose are still there... I am sure all those who helped on TTF and Records, will still use the 'Find Ancestors' and 'Genealogy Chat' boards in the same way :)

And one good thing about having a personal avatar...which I have found on other sites...is that it makes it really quick when scrolling down a thread to recognise one's own posts instantly :)

The content is the same as before, it's just all in more clearly headed forums now.
Serious researchers? I'm sure the vast majority joined as serious researchers and some have made new friends along the way. This isn't something new.
The previous array of genealogy boards were all used in the same way. Cutting down on the number of boards will mean less duplicate posts which some found so upsetting.

Come on folks how many changes have we seen over the years? we'll soon get used to it again,as always :P

I'm a serious researcher and have been for 12 years, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy some fun as well.

I don't find GR particularly useful for research but it's very good for making contacts.

Wow went out to work this morning came back thought I would check on GR and :O this is what I found.

Guess we will all get used to it.

Just come on here tonight after being off Genes for a few days and wondered what the hell is going on!? What was wrong with the old system? Is this suppose to be an improvement or what?
