Now you can plan a Christmas to suit yourself.

Ihope that you soon find a suitable council place. Or are there any housing associations near you (or the place where you would like to live) that could help you.

Just an update really, still havent got anywhere to live...I hate the bidding process..I was 3rd in queue for a bungalow but I never got it...It would have been perfect for me as it had a level access shower which i need as I cant get in and out of a bath....
Im still sleeping on the sofa and going to the loo in a bucket which my neighbour empties for me everyday as i had a bad fall and am unable to get upstairs...
The council have said that it will make no difference to the band I am in...How much do they expect one person to take!!

jules, i feel for you but wondered is there any body that can help. could citizens advice step in and try to get you priority. i mean having to use a bucket is awful, truly. surely a social worker or someone in that dept must be able to help.

it makes me cross when you hear of some who get every thing going and yet they dont really need it. yet the poor people that really need help never seem to get it, so unfair.

i really hope you get what you need real soon.

Jules, it might be worth asking your doctor to intervene...an acquaintance was 'upped' on the waiting list to 'urgent' status when her doctor wrote to the housing dept outlining how desperate her need was.

Just dawned on me Jules - commodes are available from Red Cross - they only ask for a donation - however small. Would be more confortable for you to use and I would agree with Rose get your GP to write to housing dept - your consultant if you have one.
