That's what it is all about!!

At least we know none of them were Tommy Cooper.... not like that... like that. Needs both hands.

Running Bear

Running Bear Report 6 Jan 2011 12:39

they was all involed in a plane crash, and started eating each others left arm, any that was left with a left arm had to have it removed, so they all suffered the save fate,

Liz

Liz Report 6 Jan 2011 13:06

Was the man who met the plane a doctor?

Persephone

Persephone Report 6 Jan 2011 23:32

Well the chap who met the plane certainly wasn't a paper hanger...

Wend

Wend Report 6 Jan 2011 23:39

Ha, ha! Or a left-arm bowler.

suzian

suzian Report 6 Jan 2011 23:41

Here goes with the answers:

"Have they all been to the same tailor?" - irrelevant

"Is the fact that the plane landed in London relevant?" - no

"Are the passengers and person meeting them a right armed force?" - no

"Not a game of Lego is it Sue?" - no, it's not!

"Does the airport have a good coffee shop to go to while we wait?" - irrelevant

"were/are the hands/arms amputated? " - Yes - now we're getting somewhere!

"does the word "single handed/ness " come into it?" - no

"Shall we do the hokey cokey?" - only if we must, but ..... irrelevant

"they was all involed in a plane crash, and started eating each others left arm, any that was left with a left arm had to have it removed, so they all suffered the save fate". Absolutely, and well done, Running Bear. You're nearly there.

"Was the man who met the plane a doctor?" - Yes, Liz. The story has very nearly unfolded, folks!

Mauatthecoast Report 7 Jan 2011 13:38

hmm soo the plane crashed....they were all starving so they ate each others' left arms ( no 'arm in that we've all been hungry at sometime lol) but why not the right arm? not taste as good?

If the man who met the plane was a doctor, did he operate using just the one arm?

So many questions now wating for the answers ;O)

Liz

Liz Report 7 Jan 2011 14:29

Did the doctor cut the arms off so they could eat them? But he would have needed 2 arms himself to operate.

Maybe he had his own arm cut off after they were rescued and the others were coming to see if he had really had it done?

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 7 Jan 2011 14:34

its a parody on Life on Mars, if the plane crashed they are all dead...

or they were prisoners chained up and cut their hands off to escape from the wreck!

cue music..........

"take my haaaand, I'm a stranger in Paradise!!"

Persephone

Persephone Report 7 Jan 2011 21:31

LOL Bobtanian.

Whenever I hear that song now I will think of this conundrum.

suzian

suzian Report 7 Jan 2011 23:38

Liz has it perfectly. (they chose their left arms, Mau, cos they were all right handed).

Nice one Bobtanian!

Does anyone fancy another one? (don't all queue at once to say yes, mind!)

Persephone Report 8 Jan 2011 02:01

Well Liz was very clever

I hadn't got a complete grip on it. I thought what use is a surgeon with an arm missing. Hope he had retired by then.

Wend

Wend Report 8 Jan 2011 15:09

I can't see the point of the doctor having his left arm amputated after they'd all been rescued, or am I missing something?

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 8 Jan 2011 15:46

(maybe the doctor wasnt a cannibal, to eat someone elses arm?)

Liz

Liz Report 8 Jan 2011 16:21

I'm guessing that it was a pact - the others probably thought it wasn't fair that they should lose their arms and not him?

I like puzzles like that!

Persephone

Persephone Report 8 Jan 2011 21:46

Well he is not operating on me, that's for sure.

Wend

Wend Report 8 Jan 2011 22:04

I know Liz, but he did all the 'dirty' work and they wouldn't have survived without him! I don't like puzzles like that. Poor chap - not fair!

Wend

Wend Report 8 Jan 2011 22:05

Let's have another one, Suzian?
