Joyce, (Dutch) hasn't been very well over the last few days.
She has been having terrible pains in her back and tummy, was being sick after every sip of drink among other things. Jan took her to the hospital on Sunday morning and they examined her and said it was her intestines and she had to go see her own doctor on Monday (today). She couldn't get in today so is going first thing in the morning, could I please ask for your positive thoughts for Joyce to help her through this. She is so ill she has been in bed for two days and anyone who knows her knows that is not right.
I'm sending positive thoughts to Joyce and thinking of her with fingers crossed.

i am sorry to hear this .Joyce and i have have exchanged many emails looking for her relation whose husband was in the Army.

Although I haven't been on here much over the last few days, because of trouble with the internet, I had noticed that Joyce hasn't hadn't been on at all.

I would have thought that the hospital would have done something, with her being in so much pain and being sick a lot of the time.
I really hope that she'll be better soon. I think that I'll send her a PM, to let her know that I'm worried about her and that she'll get better very soon.

Thanks everyone, I'll know more when I speak to her after she has seen the doctor tomorrow. She said when the doctor pressed her left side she nearly shot off the bed with pain, that's when the doc told her to see her own doc in the morning.
Sallie, she is not using the computer for now but she will see it when she goes back on, so don't expect a reply yet.
Shirley she is so excited about the relation being found but at the moment it is all on hold.

Remind me if I ever get the chance to go to Holland, never to get sick. The services sound atrocious there. I believe its all to do with paying for treatment. Good luck , Joyce and hope you get treated soon.

Thanks kind ladies, Deanna the hospitals work different over there and I think she might have stopped by then. They told her not to eat for three days, blimey she hadn't eaten for a few days before, she has to drink water but it comes back. I hope her own doc sends her into hospital tomorrow. She herself has an idea it is the same thing that put her into hospital a couple of years ago. I'm closing down now but will be back with any news of Joyce tomorrow.

I do hope that your doctors are able to help you very soon. You have had some good advice from other folk so I will simply say that I say a prayer to wish you less pain and a real diagnosis with the correct treatment.

I've heard from Joyce this morning, she is still badly but at least knows why. Her pain in tummy is caused by the blockage she was in hospital a couple of years ago with, doctor has given her some strong laxative she has to drink every day. He said the pain in her back is from her lungs, she is coughing and it hurts to breath as well so he gave her a spray. He said nothing about the sickness, only that she has to ring him on Friday to say whether she is better, worse or just the same. It was very difficult listening to her as her voice is very soft and fragile sounding, difficult to understand her at times, anyway I am speaking to her tomorrow. Will keep you all informed of any progress.

Deanna I spoke to her this morning and she told me what I have put in my message above, she's no better yet. As for me I am still battling to keep on my feet, my legs are very weak now and don't hold me up half the time, but we must carry on the best we can.

I hope Joyce feels better soon, if not Jan really will have to put a rocket under the Dr and hospital...it sounds totally appalling to me that they have not done more already and the treatment such as it is sounds very dubious ( not that I'm a Dr but I'd want a second or third opinion!)
