Hi Everyone Guess Who?
Sorry not to have posted for a few days but have been incredibly busy. Wish I could say that we have been to the wedding but nothing as exciting. Hubby has spent all week transforming the garden and I have been busy with the spring show for the Musical Theatre company selling ices and sweets again.
Guess everyone watched the wedding yesterday and wasn't it wonderful. The brides dress was simply stunning and her sister looked fabulous, oh to have a figure like that. Last night we front of house staff all entered into the spirit of the occasion and wore wedding outfits and hats. It was great fun and the audience seemed to like it.
Off to the show again tonight and then taking MIL to sons tomorrow to see the new baby who now weighs over 10lb bless her.

The weather this week has stayed warm and dry and the garden is desperate for water. Our new water butt is still empty and we have had it for almost 3 months.
We have been to a food and drink festival in Wensleydale today and bought lots of goodies including some Italian tomato plants, choritizo sausage and mango chutney all of which are produced locally. The event is in its 9th year and has just grown and grown and it's a super day out. We arrived at opening time in order to see the various producers without having to peer over other peoples shoulders and were able to buy all the things we wanted before it got too busy. On the way back we intended stopping at a car boot fair in Bedale but it was all over and everyone had gone so it must have started very early.

I have just read my post and its all mixed up but hope it makes sense

A widowed neighbour that used to live opposite stored all her daughter's furniture in her garage when her daughter and partner split up. It stayed there for years.......and might still have been there........ only my neighbour herself moved out and THAT got things moving at last!! I think most of it was sold as by then the daughter's tastes had changed and she didn't want it!!! She also left her 3 cats with her mum (who also had a cat of her own) for over a year. Guess who paid for all the cat food/vet bills?

I think I've done my knees in after my walk, they feel a bit bruised so it is nice to sit down now. I couldn't see any ducklings or fawns. Maybe the fawns are all quite big by now, but I thought there was a good chance of ducklings as the rangers keep any foxes out of the park. For some reason there were very few ducks, nearly all drakes.

Anne, I loved the holidays I have spent in Wensleydale........beautiful countryside. I remember taking the caravan years ago to a little site at the back of the Peacock Inn? at Leyburn. East or was it West Witton? was another place we stayed at The Blue Lion. I remember the old floor in our room sloped quite a bit and the bed would creep away from the wall when you jumped in. I seem to recall coming across Knights Templar ruins on a walk there, but I might be wrong. lol Glad your garden is coming on, I think you will be done ages before us! The baby sounds as if she is doing well.

Had our bar-b-q lunch. As we were sitting inside to eat it as there is a chilly wind, we heard a clap of thunder. Then it fell out the sky. A bit later on more thunder that went on forever knocking our eletric out about five times. It was good for apractice for Graham to get the leccy back on again. We let him do it each time!! Then it poured again and it has only just stopped. Just looked out the window and it is now just light rain. So my border should be ok now!!

I had a Rosebud doll with rooted hair called Diana and then another Rosebud doll that was a teenage doll. Still have them somewhere up in the loft. I also have a Barbie doll that has three wigs. I had her when I was about 19!!!! I liked to make old fashioned clothes for her especially hats to go with all the wigs.

Hi All
it's been a great day, went to the garden centre and bought a lot of bedding plants for my planters and hanging baskets, and OH & I have spent the rest of the day filling all the pots up. just had my shower and sitting here with wet hair , need to go and dry it.

3 of our 4 water butts are empty already. OH used the hose the other night and left it dripping. Doesn't it make you notice waste like that when you are on a meter! lol

Thankfully we are not on a meter Ann.It's funny ,but sometimes when I empty out the washing up bowl ,as I see the water go down the plug hole I think that would keep a family alive in Africa .

That's me all cleared away and tidied kitchen I can now make up our bed changed and washed sheets today there was lots of sunshine , then this afternoon a really strong wind so I got all the sheets dry in no time.

OH says it's really gone cold outside , he has just put away garden chairs etc, he hopes there not going to be a frost especially after we have just put in all those plants today.

Still repeating the Royal wedding again on the news. I suppose it will be showing again and again for the next few days.

Daughter no 2 & boyfriend off to Alton Towers for a few days break wed-Friday, now that daughter is finished Uni she's desperate to have a bit of a holiday, it's a bit of a celebration as it's her 24th birthday on Thursday,
So she says can she have money for her birthday instead of a present so she can put it towards her few days away.

Mel when do you go away ? is it soon


Time to put the kettle on I think and then sit down and watch a bit of TV.

Hi everyone Thankyou all for your kind wellcome!.............. Jane im 50yrs so not that young lol............... After me saying earlier about when i had my Tippy Tumbles doll it was infact 1969,and not early 70s my sister kindly remined me lol

A couple of years ago, a boy was outside my house on the new model of the chopper bike. It brought back memories of when i had a bright yellow one. And i remember getting spirograph one christmas thought it was great making all those designs ha. Lego was one of my favourites, loved it, and it just shows you how long thats been going for!!!

Will keep popping back Girls and Frank, im sure your not a devil really!!! lol

My boy had a grifter byke. Parked it outside our bungalow once and it started raining just a little while later. I went out to bring it in and it was gone!! It had been pinched in the small while we had been inside. Never saw it again but did get the full amount on the house insurance.

Sally where abouts are you please as we all like to know where we all live?

Had to turn the pc off yesterday in the end as the storm came back with avengance and the leccy kept going out. OH will never let me be on pooter when there is thunder and lightening.

Well I still have some things to get ready and some washing to do. Dull this morning but not raining yet!

It 'll do her good to have a few days away I'm sure.James doesn't start his finals for a couple of weeks.
I'm going to sit out in the sun for a while until the Roast Beef is cooked and then I will put the roast pots in.

Chicken for our dinner today, we still live in hope for a BBQ but by the time it gets round to 4.30-5.00 it's to cold to sit out side.

Afternoon all,

Have been busy in the garden all morning. Set some more MORNING GLORY seeds, potted on some PEPPERS, and put in some SWEET POTATO. Have cut and trimed both back and front lawns, and put in some more cuttings.

Hope one of you can give me an idea what the little bug is, we haven't seen one like it before.

We are having dinner late again today. We can then get all the jobs in the garden out of the way. I will feed and water everywhere this evening. Go# knows what my water bill will be this quarter. It seems I have it on every day for an hour or more. But you can't let the things die. I also have four empty water butts.

Roast loin of pork tonight, Jersey Royals and veg.

Fiona James is studying Anthropology .It seems a fascinating subject.He has enjoyed every moment of his 3 years.I just hope he can get a job !!
His course seems to have the most work load.He was saying that some of the people on the course who have had part time jobs have had to give them up so they can get all the work done.

How nice it is to be able to eat outside again this weekend.

Jane Anthropology didn't have a clue what that was until I goggled it, the study of human beings, sounds very interesting.
During the last 6 years daughter was in Glasgow and at Galashiels she had 2 jobs. one Part time in a clothes shop through the day the other in a pub/restaurant in the evenings
She had to pack in the evening job as you know she became so stressed out she couldn't cope with long hours working and trying to study at the same time.
We are so glad it's over. and hope like you there will be a job at the end of it. it's so hard for youngsters to get work these days, and not always anything to do with the the subject they have been studying

Hannah has an interview on the 11th .To get on a 3 year course to eventually become a Clinical Psychologist(I know I have said this already),but tomorrow she is going to London to have a Practice Interview with some woman.She has paid £80 for this ,so I hope it is worth it.She has put so much work into preparing for the proper interview ,I pray she gets a placement.If she does get a placement it will set her on the road to a really good future.She needs a bit of luck right now.
