well in that case Jane I had better do my back and front door because I have just looked at the front and that needs a wash too.

Smoked haddock tonight, sweetcorn jacket pot and brocc if there is any left up the tunnel.

Jane they don't want to let on about the house just yet perhaps.

David ,I have my dental appointment on Monday! Not looking forward to it.
The dental receptionist actually text James to say he had an appointment on Monday at 11.He rang me as he knows he hasn't got one.(he is in Canterbury) lol. They must have got us mixed up!
I am sneezing like mad at the moment but I think it is hayfever sneezies.I was stood next to a lady in the post office earlier and she was coughing and snuffling like nothing on earth.I tried to keep facing away from her and not breathing in too deeply lol.
I hope everything goes through with your sale.Hannah's is still looking very bad.She should hear by the 10th if she can sell or not.My sister is hoping to move on the 27th May,but there is certain work that will need to be done before they can move in.Damp treatment, woodworm treatment.Wiring also needs to be redone but her son in law is an electrician so he can do that.

I was just watching 3 Buzzards and a Red Kite circling above here.On of the Buzzards suddenly seemed to fold the wings in and plummet.I think it might have spotted some dinner lol

Both enjoyed the lasagne but have eaten too much. Also had a glass of South African wine and very nice it was to.
When we were on holiday in the Cook Islands we went on a trek in the jungle. Our guide made us use a mixture of Dettol and washing up liquid as insect repellant. You can imagine how we smelt but it worked wonderfully with no bites at all. Everytime I use it now the smell brings back lovely memories.
Am looking for places to stay in Norfolk as we want to visit the Martham area where hubby has family ancestors buried in the churchyard and we thought it would be good to have a short break and do some research.
Jane Is the house still sealed off. Do keep us informed.
Fiona Hope you have a super evening

Evening All,

Thanks for that Shirl. If OH has some in the future I might try a bit of his!!

What's going on with that house then Jane, something's amiss. It's usually cannabis factories in the city here these days, but there have been a few in the outskirts too. You never know what's going on around you these days.

Maureen, you have done well. Having done a lot of decorating the past few years I know what hard work all that sanding and filling is, especially at floor level. Are your fingernails all sanded down too? The little girl will love her painting of butterflies and flowers......a lovely idea. You have certainly earned your Mothering Sunday treats.

My doors and window frames could do with a good wash down too but will have to wait while we do a bit more of the garden. I remembered the clematis name Mel, I think it is Niobe. It has never reached more than about 5 feet high and that is the height of the obelisk so I hope it is big enough. In the past I have tended to just cut it back halfway, but there are so many ground shoots this year I may cut all the old stems out and sacrifice a few flowers. The bird pole it is climbing has several prongs on the bottom so it may be easier to disentangle if I do that. What I like about it is that the flowers smother it and it flowers twice usually.

OH keeps sneezing. He thinks it may be hayfever, but the sunshine affects him like that. When it happened today I told him it was the sun and that he must be a Vampire!! Quick as a flash he said I'd be getting it in the neck saying that!! lol, lol

Mel April is left with some marks on her face after the chicken pox but is ok now still trying to be grown up and saying the wrong words all the time.
I think she was sent to her room today from her daily phone call having her own cell phone now she chatters away and was telling me mummy sent to her room for taking her make up and covering her face. Jessica only uses expensive make up !!

Annx no he never took the bike .I find where Jessica now lives a bit creepy
because her cottage backs on to some waste ground and there is a road close buy and one day I saw 3 men just hanging around and they seem to be making notes having said that they could have been surveyors or something or do they work alone. Jessica tried to cram a lot of her furniture that Matt bought into a very small living room and I found I bumped into it a lot I had some lovely bruises.

I am on a lot of medication now and Beryl phoned today worrying me about one tablet .I took her to some to a mind and body afternoon at her local church today .Donnie came looking more like a metal works than usual in a studded coat and belt and a huge stud in his tongue. i was so bored I decided to join in the going off into a trance they called it and emptying the mind. I was somewhere I dont know almost dropping off to sleep. The lady was very nice takling the class she said empty your mind of all worrying thoughts and Beryl said really loud that will be difficult for you Don you aint got one. Well everybody laughed and but the teacher looked annoyed and had to start the whole relaxing bit again I really enjoyed it I may go without that pair. There was some very nice water music playing very relaxing.

Thank you Jane for your concern I hope all your family are ok.
My computer is sluggish so not read many threads .I hope everyone who is suffering gets well soon. I have slowed down a lot.
I hope you enjoy the concert Annx. i have seen him on tv and it looks great. Our Tunision son in law is now back in Birmingham came and gave me some Tunision oranges very sweet they were lovely not like him
he toid me he always will love me and called my poor daughter a clever women who caged him like a tiger . He now plans to go to Italy which my hubby said he would do when he got his right to remain. He seems to be with the muslim community and does not want anything to do with Michelle she is really upset over it all. I think her confidence seems to be low .I have a job to get her to move off the couch.

I shall read a few threads and go to bed and write a bit of my novel I get the micky taken over that I just hope whoever I send it to will understand
it.
I am glad David and Liz managed to sell there houses. I think we may sell up so much rubbish next door nobody is coming to clean the front of those flats and its disgusting. I said if they paid me I would do it. I will take a photo and show some of you what I mean its terrible. We have a very old man customer and he said I have seen rats I have three all dead and terrified the dogs will bring them in and plonk them on a chair that would really finish me off. !!!HAVE A LOVELY CHAT AND EVENING.XX

Oh Sheila ,I do have a chuckle at some of your comments lol.I can just picture you all nice and relaxed and chilled....and then Beryl piping up .I'm not surprised the lady looked annoyed.

I am signing off now as the signal is on and off and I am fed up re booting.
Sleep well everyone .Night Night xx

Morning All,

Much brighter today weather wise and dry too. Oh is already out in the garden tinkering with the digger buckets I think or the mowers.

I really must start sorting things out for the holiday as I have'nt done anything yet. Must write a list!! I shall probably take far too much in the way of clotheing as you never know what the weather is going to be like in May.

Sheila I took another look at your shop on google the other day and managed to see it this time round. It is a lovely place and I went all the way round and saw the park where you walk the dogs. Glad April is better now. I remember having a large chicken pox scar just above my right eyebrow. I had it just before Christmas one year when we were coming down to Devon to stay with aunty Joy in Bideford. Mum was hoping that the scabs had gone by the time we visited!! Nasty thing to get. My son got it when he was 18 and you could'nt get your finger between the spots. I felt so sorry for him he just layed on the floor in the living room feeling very sorry for himself and he wanted me to stay there with him and hold his hand.

Mel I have a big pitted scar from chickenpox under my right boob lol.At least it is hidden. My 2 had it badly when they were young.I think Hannah was 5 and then passed it on to James who was about 2 and a half.I have a photo of him in the bath absolutely plastered in spots and he looks so miserable. We always had Bicarb in the bath water and then tons of calamine.

Off down the garden now.Chris is on the internet looking at guns !!!!!!!!

Afternoon all

Was at a family history workshop this morning as they have changed the access to the system to view the Birth, death and Marriage records at new Register House in Edinburgh so we were learning what to do to save time on the trip to Edinburgh at the end of April.

Weather windy , wet but not to cold. I had lovely time last night at the restaurant we were not too late home 10.15

David, I go out with friends for a meal every 2 months on a Friday to an Italian Restaurant and last night it was with family to a Cypriot restaurant for a change,
SIL won't go to an Italian restaurant in Britain he says the cooking is not good, I do agree to some extent the British restaurants over here tend to use a lot of garlic in there food personally I don't like garlic , but when visiting SIL parents when we are on holiday his mother cooks with garlic and I can't taste it. she uses very little, she says it depends what region of Italy you come from, different regions cook food in different ways and only use certain amounts of garlic & herbs, probably recipes that have been handed down through generations, they make a really big thing of eating and can sit for hours at the table during a meal,

Jane

Jane Report 2 Apr 2011 13:39

David ,fingers crossed that couple go away and put an offer in .

Mumps was about the only thing I never had.I had ,measles, german measles and Chickenpox

Update on the sealed off house. Two controlled explosions were carried out by the RAF Bomb Squad last evening. It seems that on Thursday Police went to the house to arrest a man for money laundering. After doing a search of the house a metal pipe with sealed ends was discovered(could that be a pipe bomb)?,also chemical substances.
I drove past the house just now and all looks quite there now.

Tes** was absolutely heaving. It was crazy.I had to laugh as there were a little group of men just hanging around inside the main entrance. They were husbands who had decided it was better to stay out of the way lolThey were waiting for their wives to do the shopping .I said I thought it was a very good idea because 'you men' always get in the way lolol

The lawn has been done but no proper stripes yet as I think Chris has just done a short cut for the first time.I think I should really be out the front weeding the gravel.

David have you done anything about finding a cleaner?I used to have one when I was busy doing Victim Support. But when I finished that I felt that really I should 'Do' for myself again.I really wish I had kept her lol.She wasn't brilliant ,but it was nice to have someone do the jobs I didn't fancy doing.

It is very cloudy and breezy but so warm.I think my washing will be dry in a matter of minutes.

Hi have a chicken pox mark at the top of my arm and two on my face.My son Ashleys got several marks on his face.I hated mumps I remember my neck swelled up when I was about 1O years old. Did anyone go into hospital and have tonsils removed both myself and my brother did they used to whip them out in my young days.

I am pleased you have found a nice bungalow David it is good not to have stairs .My mum had a bungalow and loved it. I hated selling it when she died.
Hi Amanda how are you will you be getting your lovely pool out in the summer.it is cold here today I have to go to Redditch to shop. I take my friend with me Olga she lost an arm last year due to bad circulation. I am getting ho to drive not up to long journeys in the car. I am a bit scared in case I have an heart attack I am told I am ok if I take the medication but it worries me. Impetigo David was horrid did he have that horrid purple stuff
all over him. I had a friend who had it. think it was lack of good food during the war years .This friend had her head shaved for nits also and lived in a old army hut. it was sad to see her. my mum would not let her come in the house she was a bit of a snob but it was nasty to see that poor girl.

Oh fancy you finding our shop and the park Mel great I love that google map thingy i may look and see if I can find you have some addresses.
I do apologise for not sending that fairy I keep mentioning I will wrap it up
next week and send it. I have thank you cards to make also for the cards you all sent. Will give me something to do.

I found a photo of Fiona with her dog I love that picture.
oh to be young again.

I must admit my outing with Beryl was funny. Donnie said on the way home Bell I am intelligent you know do you remember when I did that
crossword and won 50quid.Beryl said when did you win 50 quid you did not tell me you dipstick. I nearly burst into laughter but managed to stutter on Beryl that is not nice. I feel sorry for Donnie really. Beryls a case and I love her dearly even though she drives me mad.

Afternoon Everyone

Hubby still streaming with cold so not doing too much today. Walked to the local shop this morning and he was shattered when he got back.
It was very wet earlier but is now bright and sunny.
I have been baking cakes ready for our coffee morning next week. Shall pop them into the freezer and ice later. Hubby watching the cricket so he is happy just muttering about someone throwing the ball.
I remember when son had chicken box as we were on holiday in Denmark at the time. We were staying with a family and they took us to their local doctor who called it Skoolhopper and gave us brilliant cream which cleared the spots very quickly. We took son to Legoland the following day and he was fine, just spotty.
I do so wish we had an Italian restaurant in town and a Cypriot retaurant would be heaven, just have 1 chinese and three indian or pub grub.
David I hope you sell the house soon. Do you live in Newcastle itself.?
I still have relatives in Long Benton and I went to school in Fenham.
MIL coming tomorrow so shall spend my mothers day cooking.
I do miss buying a card for my mum and also miss her company even after 11 years.
Time for a cup of tea

Anne ,when my 2 were about 6 and 8 years old I took them to Legoland in Denmark.OH didn't go.I did a coach trip from here in Kettering. We had an overnight crossing on the ferry from Harwich. They had a fantastic time at Legoland, and I have to say I did too.I think it was only a three day trip, and I just know I was absolutely kn******d by the time we got back.Thinking back I think I was quite brave doing that on my own with them both lol
I hope your poor OH feels better soon and that his nose dries up.

I think my neighbour is somewhere with his Shotgun. It sounds very close, and Chester came in like a bullet himself whining .He is very noise sensitive. You would think he had been shot by the noise he was making lol

Sheila I think you will feel confident to drive again in a while.Maybe now is just a little too soon for you.But you will get there.
