I nodded off , i was watching the boat race and i just couldn't keep my eyes open , it was twelve last night before we went to bed !!!
Just had my hour that we lose by putting the clocks back lol

Been raining hard here , hope its dry tomorrow ,we're clearing up behind the shed so hubby can Creosote the fence .

Ann, have you had them on in the garden and put them down somewhere like in the garden shed !!!

Maureen, Katie likes putting things in and out , we went to a nearly new sale this morning ,i have never seen so many toys and baby stuff , DIL bought the two girls a Fish*r Pr*ce Dolls house ,it had loads of little bits with it , it was ten pounds but worth the money with all the bits that came with it .

Hannah did well Jane, our Prima*k always looks like a jumble sale , half the clothes end up on the floor !! that shop always looks a mess i want to go round and have a jolly good clear up !!!!
I nearly got my three quarter trousers out when the weather was warm , today i've got long trousers on ,the heating on and i'am still cold .

I'am getting hungry now ,sister should be here by seven with th Chinese , Veg curry and boiled rice for me .

No rain here yet Mandy.I don't know if it is forecast.I have to say the Prima** in Corby seems pretty good ,only a few bits knocked on the floor, but plenty of staff picking and clearing.

Just asked Chris if he soaked the Sweet Peas first. He said no and never has done.I think he said they are planted now in the greenhouse.Fingers crossed they turn out ok.

Fiona James is busy with his Uni work at the moment .It is his finals this year.

I'm all confused now.Chris has just changed all the clocks!!!!!.It's a bit early really to do it.But if it's not done now we will probably forget later lol.Not that it would matter really being a Sunday tomorrow.

Frank enjoy your pints tonight !

Maureen I found an old packet that was still in date the other day and thought about our efforts with them last year. I will soak mine this time as well. Who knows, we may have something to take a pic of this year!!!! I'll put mine in a big pot with a cane wigwam.

Well I'm really glad you said that Mandy!! I don't believe it.......just thinking about what I would have done with the bag they were in while I went up the garden, I thought handbag........no, already had a quick look there?? Just ferreted about again under a scarf in there and lo and behold......FOUND THEM!! Yippee! The bag they are in gives no protection and it's a wonder I hadn't broken them with what I've been stuffing in on top of them!!! I just sauntered in the lounge, posing in them and OH nearly choked on his tea!!! lol Wonder if Mel has found that key yet??

I remember seeing the Sage just after it was built Anne, a very unusual building. OH took me as I wanted to walk on the Millenium Bridge. At that time with all the regeneration there were cranes everywhere. The only time I have been to Blyth it was snowing and I walked on the beach while OH was at a match there.

Our Prima*k in the city always seems to have HUGE queues because of the bargains to be found. T K Max* used to be like a jumble sale, but at least it is mostly on the rails these days.

Have spent most of the afternoon on the computer sorting out my tree. I did watch some footie before having a long hot bath, which is always exciting as I find it difficult to get out,but needs must.
Saw the boat race which was not as exciting as last year and cooked chicken and rice for tea.
Have tried to contact son today without success so lord knows what is happening there.
I used to spend a lot of time at car boot sales and visiting sale rooms but I have stopped going now as I ,managed to gather so much clutter and cannot bear to part with it. Off to watch the tele.

I was looking at some of the travelling fraternity earlier to try and find rellies of my traveller ancestor. While I was looking I came across an unconnected marriage between a 'Fighting Fred' and 'Muttering Jenny'!!! lol OH said I would have been 'Chuntering Ann'. What a cheek!!!!

Anne, for a minute there I thought you meant it was exciting getting out of the bath!! lol

Ann
The sage is a super venue with fabulous acoustics. We have been there on several occasions and it never fails to impress. The whole of the waterside area has been regenerated and its difficult to remember how it looked when I was a child.
So glad you found your glasses.

I thought it was so nice this week to kick off my boots and were my sandals.I'm sure it did my feet good to get a good airing !!

Did we all remember to change the clocks?

Do you realise it is 12 months ago today Hannah and I were at the wedding in Dubai. All that worry whether we would be there in time because of Hannahs interview the day before.I can't believe a whole year has whizzed by.
I think I had better get myself dressed now.BBL

Morning all,

Well it is misty here this morning and a bit chilly. I have fed the birds as the pheasents were waiting for me.

No I have not found the trailer key yet but I have been working on the border and not had time to sieve the old bonfire site. Thought I better start a new one to burn the rubbish off the border.

Ann so pleased you found your glasses.

As to sweet pea seed. You can either soak them or just put them in pots and give them a good water. I used to grow about 50 odd plants up the top wall. OH put canes all along where the old peach house was just next to the old victorian greenhouse. They would all be done as my grandad used to grow them, on a single stem and tied everyday. I used to get the stalks about just a foot long or a bit over. Also this way they get more flowers on the top. Usually 5 or 6.

The trouble I am having this year is that I can't sow anything as we are going away. I can't ask the person looking after the chickens to water too as she has her horses and pigs to look after anyway.

Well I put all the kitchen clocks on before I went to bed last night and when I woke up and looked at my watch I thought I had better get up and start to do something. The only thing was I thought I was nice an early but had forgotten to do my wristwatch!!!!! Silly old fool................................

Morning my little butterflies,

I have only just had my shower. Didn't get up till 10.00. done all the veg for dinner, and got beef in the dish ready to go.

Had a good night last night, apart from the fact they this guy had got a JAZZ BAND in a fairly small hall for entertainment. You couldn't hear yourself think, and as for a conversation FORGET IT. We managed to stick it out to 11.30pm. Then my head was throbbing so much I had to get out of there.

Niceish type of morning here, Sun starting to push through, and very still in the air. Haven't got round to going out in the garden yet. Might read the paper instead, theres always another day tomorrow !!!!

Glad you found your specs Ann. You will have to get one of those string things that go round your neck !!!

Morning Lazy boy.Glad you had a good evening.I often think music can be too loud .I do like a bit of Jazz though sometimes.

You should see Wicksteed Park this morning. It looked like a sea of Pink.It is the Crazy Hat walk for Breast Cancer.Hundreds of people walking around the park in pink and Crazy Hats to raise lots of money. It was a wonderful sight and brought tears to my eyes.

All the blossom is out and looking very pretty, but the downside is I am now taking the antihistamines.Chester is seeming a bit itchy too now.

Yes Ann Good job you found your shades.Especially seeing they were your prescription ones.

Roast Lamb smelling good in the oven now,and it is making my tummy rumble lol. What is everyone else having today?

Liz,any news on the house front?

Afternoon everyone ,

Bright here this morning , the sun keep trying to break through and its not so cold .

Family came this morning for coffee so we were late getting out into the garden ,have cleared in front of the fencing near the shed, hubby has the creosote out and has done two panels ,got more bits to clear away before he can do another panel.
I've been in the shed just tidying up all the garden tools ,things get used and then just put back anywhere in the shed ,then when you want something you carn't find it !!

So you found your glasses then Ann ,that's good ,maybe Mel's key will turn up next .

Thought we had altered all the clocks ,then realised the one on the mantle piece hadn't been done , why does it always seem a short day when we alter the clocks forward ,i mean we lose the hour over night !!!

We're having Pasta tonight ,nice and easy , i never seem to do a roast on Sunday ,i suppose its because i do one in the week sometimes when the family come .

Back to my tiding up .

Been out to dinner at the garden center. Jusyt got back and changed and made a cuppa for us as we did'nt have a sweet we had coffee and walnut cake at home.

So I had raost beef and OH had his usual scampy chips and salad and a side order of onion rings this time too!

Talking of sheds I must really have a good clear out in mine as over the winter things have just been thrown in there and you can hardly get in there now.

I bought some lovely panseys at the garden center, they are such suttle colours I could'nt resist their little faces. Also bought a Knautia Macedonica (pincushion plant) deep bluey red I lost my one up the border and thought I would replace it as I had had that one some years and it flowered right through the season and even into December. Also bought a little thyme plant for outside kitchen door as others right up the garden and I always forget to pick some when I go up to feed the bantams. OH like it in stuffing and I like to have some to chop and mix with sage and lemon rind for a topping for a roast pork loin.

No cooking for you then Mel.I bet you enjoyed that Roast Beef.I use lots and lots of Thyme.I love it.Mine died from the frost and snow, but I have been buying it in the supermarket and sticking it in the freezer. It's great stuff.

Chris has just made a mug of tea so I'm off to drink that and warm up.I feel really chilly.

Another lovely sunny day again here. I've spent all day at son's house, filling and sanding down skirting boards, it's nearly ready for them to move in, maybe a couple more weeks.

Must remember to fill in the census form, just think in 100 years our descendents will be looking them up and reading what we were up to 'in the old days' .....

Who won the football, it was on Sky so I didn't see it, I forgot it was on anyway, England probably won as I wasn't watching, I usually put a jinx on it.

That's certainly an achievment Liz and it's down to Polly''s hard work, one heck of a lot of training. I remember when mine were all young, they did loads of different activities until they found one they liked best, and I made sure the girls weren't doing the same sport, too much rivalry, but it did mean a lot of here there and everywhere. The worst one was my son's ice hockey, it meant travelling all around the south east to ice rinks, looking back I don't know how I managed it.

Hi everyone
Well today is the day or rather it should be, but guess what it isn't STILL NO. BABY.
The weather has been glorious and we have spent most of the day outside Looked out of the bedroom earlier and saw lots of cars parked in the cricket field which is just behind the house. Guess what? they were having an afternoon car boot sale, after all the chat yesterday I could not resist and we both wandered around for ages. I was very good and only bought books for Hazel and John Barrowmans autobiography for myself. Hubby said that you are all leading me astray!!!
We have just had a BBQ which was an unexpected treat.
Hubby now filling in the census and some of his alleged answers are hilarious although I do not think he will actually put them on the form.
Went to bed last night without altering the clocks, typical. The only thing that mattered was the central heating which came on eventually.

David Sorry to hear about your car, sounds expensive!!
Hubby now getting bogged down with form. I have explained to him how important all this info is to people doing family research but I am not sure that he is taking this seriously!! Maybe I should have taken on the completion.
Mel Still no news about your keys.Sounds as though you have a good garden centre restaurant.
Off to keep hubby under control
