Night night all.

David you did make me laugh about the ponies. they should have tried a blindfold!! Or take them both up at once. If mine would'nt gop in the box I used to walk it round in circles a few times and try again. It usually worked.

Morning All,

Not so nice today, a bit misty and murky looking.

Where's that baby?? It should be here by now should'nt it??

I think it may be brightening a bit as there are a few patches of blue sky showing as I type.

There was a big fire in a village near us yesterday. My friends live there so OH should hear all about it on Wednesday when he goes ringing with them.

Mel, Any luck with the key. ????

Yes Jane a little to much info.!!!!!

Baby, Baby, where forart thou Baby.!!!!

Ros on her rambles again this morning, It's not as though we need anytrhing. YOU WOMEN ARE ALL THE SAME. Show you a shop and you have to look in it. !!!!

Been invited out this evening. Out of the blue, knock on the door last night and a chap I speak to when out, was there. He said I'm having a little do down the PUB hall. Would you and Ros like to come. We knew the family years ago when we had the Post Office, I had MY son staying (after his Mum threw him out) and he and this chaps son were at catering colledge together. I used to pick them up when it was a late class. Unfortunatly the other lad died in a Road accident. but we have still kept in touch. Will make a chance from the TELE. thank God. !!!

Conrad should be here later to set up the new computer, which I am on at the moment. The other one is looking sorry for itself Saying "Internet Explorer cannot display the website" I think it's due for the BIN. He will know when he's sorted through it !!!

Hi All
Am having a quiet day at home today to help antibiotics do their thing.Rang NHS direct first thing to ask if its ok to go see baby should it arrive!!!! said that they were very busy and only dealing with emergencies. If I cared to leave my details they would ring me back in 4hours. Needless to say I didn't leave details but rang a medical friend who said that I will be ok to visit in the unlikely event baby ever arrives.
Jane Thanks for that happy news re thrush ugh.Is your tooth better today?

David You are so cruel leaving those poor people with their horses but I did laugh all the same.I remember the beach at Seaton Delaval as my parents once had a caravan at Blyth where I spend many happy times.Went to Newcastle recently and took husband to the indoor market which he loved. Saw Metro the musical on the news from the Sage. It was very short but very good.

Weather colder today with just the hint of sun.
Fiona Hope your hubby is fee;ling better soon
Must think about lunch soon. Beans on toast sounds good

Morning All,

Very misty here this morning and OH says it is cold. lol I was quite relieved it was a bit cooler!! I think I've had a bit of a bug last week, feeling too hot and waking too hot in the night, headachey and tummy a bit unsettled. I feel a lot better this morning and have been out and planted the early pots and some radishes. OH has already gone......he is going to 2 matches today........I really will have to get another man in at this rate!! lol He did do all the veg for dinner later before he went though and took me out for breakfast.

David, the poor people with the ponies. Mel's suggestions would most likely have worked and I'm surprised they didn't know the blindfold trick. I think most of the problem is the ramp which flexes and makes them nervous as some will jump off it as soon as they can. They need to get used to these things gradually.

Mel, I have LOST SOMETHING too!! My prescription shades!! lol I know I went out in the car wearing them last Saturday.........can I find them.....NO!! I can't believe it as it was sunny all day then and I wouldn't have taken them off till I got home. I've looked everywhere for them......even the fridge. I'm so annoyed as they are the first prescription sunglasses I have ever had and they fitted right close to the face which I liked. OH has been under my car seats and looked everywhere too. Even the little drawstring bag they were in is missing too, so I must have taken them off and put them in that.

Hope your son enjoyed his birthday and that nice meal with you Shirl. Also that you have a good weekend in Toronto.

Frank, that was nice of that chap to invite you out this evening. Did you miss having the Post Office at first? It must have been a big change. The chap in our village Post Office is retiring soon and they couldn't get anyone to take it over and we thought we would lose it. Luckily the Co-*p are going to incorporate it in their store which will be even more handy. I hope they move the post box too!!
Your car battery has done well Frank at 7 years old. Remember years ago they hardly made it to 3 years.

Hope you got a good night's sleep with the tooth Jane. I think I could do with some sandals and a few tops. I might pop out this evening when the crush has died down.

Hope you are soon feeling better Anne. I find even the antibiotics can make you feel a bit grim too sometimes. Hope your hubby is soon back to feeling ok Fiona. It's a good sign if he is pushing the trolley for you! lol

Yesterday when I was on my way home, there were 2 police cars and an ambulance parked on the M1 up the road and several more police standing on the bridge. The motorway traffic was at a standstill as I drove by over the bridge, so I thought there had been an accident. In today's paper it said the motorway had been closed an hour as a woman had climbed onto the motorway bridge further on and was looking to jump. It happened a couple of years ago with a young man, but in the other direction from here. How dreadful it must be to feel that desperate and unable to cope, be it from mental illness or what society does to us. Often the two are connected.

Well, I better do a few jobs now and see if I can think of any other places those sunglasses might be!!! lol

I'm surprised we've still got warm bright weather, spent about 4 hours wandering around the boot sale this morning. I'm so nosy. Bought a few toys for Finley to keep here for when he comes over, I have a big ceramic pot which he likes to put things in and then take them out, so he can put his toys in there now instead of my remote control. Also an Andrew Lloyd Webber Musicals CD .....20p ...... what a bargain.

How much of the apple pie is left Shirl ??

Hope everyone is feeling better today, from teeth to tummies. Antibiotics clear one thing up and leave you with another !!

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 26 Mar 2011 16:16

It has turned out nice here again today. OH cutting more of the lawns and I had togo to Holsworthy to get his mower petrol and a couple or bags of bolts for the mower. That took me a while and then we had lunch and I went up on the border and OH back to mowing. Then he had another problem, the big mower(Clarissa) would'nt cut the long grass so he trie dto start the zero turn one and the battery was flat!! So that had to go on charge and he went back to Clarissa on the big lawn.

I got back ache and was so thirsty we came down for a drink.

Frank have a good old chinwag tonight and enjoy yourselves.

Maureen, a bagain or what, 20p!!!

I don't know if any of you watch Antiques Roadshow but they had a little dog cart on there the other week. Or goat cart as I would call it. Well when I went for the petrol today there is an antiques place just before the garage and I popped int here to have a look round and outside was the same dog cart. I asked how much it was and the fellow said £375. I said there was ....and he said yes it is the same one as on Antiques Roadshow valued at £1500 but you could'nt ask that in Holsworthy.

I thought for a minute Mel you were going to say the owner of the Antiques Roadshow one bought it at a boot sale for 20p !!!!! Just goes to show you though, they must have quoted it at the absolute ceiling price. It's like when they say insure it for £10,000 but it's only worth about half that.

I'm at a loss for something to do now, it's too late to start something and too early to watch tv, I might just mess around on the computer for a while.

Annx Report 26 Mar 2011 16:46

No Mandy, still no sign of them.........but I have discovered a lot of dust and bits of paper under the bed, so that's another job to do! That's nice, having another cookfree day. We are having pork chops with onions, apple slices, veg and mustard mash tonight. OH will think it's his birthday. lol

What a bargain Maureen, 20p! Finley must be quite a big boy now. I love that age when it's a novelty to get things out and put them back, pity it doesn't last though. lol

Mel, I always chuckle when you mention Clarissa, lol. You must get quite a lot of grass cuttings off all of your lawns. Do you compost it or use it for mulch?

Jane Report 26 Mar 2011 17:23

I saw that little goat cart on Antiques RS Mel.It was cute.
My tooth is still nagging but is lot easier that it was thanks. That has reminded me ,I need my next pill.
I hope you 2 Ann(e)s are feeling better today too.

Frank I bet you will have a good evening out tonight, just make sure you behave yourself lol

Well I didn't by any shoes or anything other than a pack of Brufen and a pack of antihistamines. That's exciting isn't it.
Hannah did well .She got 3 pairs of shoes in Prima**,and a lovely pair of trousers in H&*.They are a loose legged cotton drawn in at the ankle, and they really suit her.The only pair that were in her size were on the Manikin so we had to persuade the girl to take them off it lol.First of all they said they couldn' t do that but Hannah persisted.Good for her.

In our paper this week on the front page was a report of a young woman who fell from the bridge onto the A14.(I think she was a jumper)Sadly she died in the ambulance.Luckily she didn't jump into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

Mel you always seem to have a flat battery lol.

Maureen I bet Finley will love finding toys in that pot .I bet Alfie likes to have a mooch in there too lol

Hannah could only try one shoe on from each pair as her sprained one is still not fully recovered.

Is it too early for a glass of wine? I just fancy one now.

Never too early Jane !!!! I would join you but I'm being good.

I've started some Sweet Peas off again Ann. Are you going to have another go. I read the packet properly this time and it said to soak the seeds overnight before sowing. Perhaps that's where I went wrong last year.

Will try again.

Conrad didn't come today. Full of cold, He rang about 1pm.

David, Im still smiling about your horse tale, I bet those people are thinking about you too !!!!

Cause it's not to early for a glass Jane, I will have my first pint about 8.30pm. Will try to retrrict myself to 4 tonight, as I will not only loose an hour in bed, but I want to sent some seed potato's in "MY PATCH" I might even give my lawn a cut. Green Thu# were here last Monday, with their spring treatment., and you have to leave any cutting for three days..

Ros sowed some sweet pea seeds on friday, I just asked her if she soaked them, and she said NO. She's just gone out to collect them off the surface of the pot she goes them in.!!!! Hope you are right Maureen, or else !!!!!

Mel, It's not what something is worth, It's what someone will pay for it.

Had a nice day, DONE NOTHING, only showered and shaved. Read my book, layed in the conservatory and listend to the England match in between have a sleep. !!!!
