The Slow Cooker Thread.

How can I cook if you hide the thread from me.

Has some fruit cake deleted it??

Not that I'm cooking fruit cakes.

You should see my kitchen.

Looks like, well it is sort of difficult to explain. Let's just say I'm cooking and the consequence of that is probably explained in one word. Messy!!!


Oh heavens I've forgotten the time. You lot are all asleep by now. Well I'll have to resort to the GR search function.

Oh woe!! It will be recipe books next.

OK The GR search sort of worked. Found a slow cooker thread. And have what I was looking for. I was sure there was another SCT but this will do fine.


You may all stop searching now and go back to sleep, or work, or rest or cooking.

Hi Aunty, I have just used my slow cooker for the first time, have it full of veg and braising steak so won't have to do much later on today.
Don't know what's happened to the thread, hope it's not been whooshed!

Hi Liz,

I have been cooking all day. OH is disenchanted with his role as chief cook. I have cooked six dishes for freezing and have the pork and cider ingredients in the slow cooker.

Right now I am hiding in the computer room hoping to hear the sound of dishes being washed.

I your dreams you say.

Yep that's about it.

I also think it might be appropriate if we have junk food for tea tonight. Don't wish to start on the meals before they even get into the freezer!!

In my dreams yeah, I am chief cook and bottle washer too, now and again o.h. will wash up but not often, however, I have done most of it but left a few things soaking lol he can do those before visiting his dad later this morning. I am off to bed in a mo.

I did nudge up the thread for you tho

So what's it going to be, beans on toast and poached eggs for tea lol

I don't like my chances. I think I am going to have to sacrifice one of my culinary delights.

Oh well it's already cooked, just out of the oven so beef and vegetable casserole will have to do. And he can wash up.
