moment lol

Just looking on Military records...found a name that 'has' to be one of mine, quite unusual right birth place .... and in the next of kin it gives father's name AND all 6 brothers, plus his wife, address, place and date of marriage and son...and can I fit him in as one of mine ????

Can I heck as like lol, i could scream!

Assume you are on Ancestry.

Flip back to the previous page and make sure it is his records. Then go forward and check the end of the records. Check how many pages in his documents to make certain you have not gone into another person's records.

Go and check the medal card index if it is WW1. Then goggle the name of his regiment which will give you, hopefully, more information about him.

Then off you go and search the BDM for all those siblings.

And seeing you have the magic touch I'll send you a couple of names you can search for me. I will expect the same results!!

Hi Aunty Sherlock , I have found all his siblings in 1901 and parents and younger brother in 1891, marriage of his father and mother in 1883....his father in 1881....

what I can't find is how his father is related to my lot lol and I am so sure he is.. oh for an 1831 census which would show the older children which I believe there might be of the 'direct link' I am certain of (if you follow me lol)
