 Sue In Yorkshire.

Sue In Yorkshire. Report 27 Mar 2010 11:12

RR

Sorry.you have it wrong about Mary Bullward and Mary Payne.

Mary Bullward is actually Mary Bullivant on the 1861 census.

And Mary Bullivant married Joseph Lambsdown marriage Sept qtr 1865.

Mary Ann Payne is Mary Ann Lambsdown married Joseph Payne June qtr 1860.

Holly ,it is possible that Mary Ann Bulward and MA Payne are the same person but it seems the Payne family were just "lodgers" and I don't think they are connected to your family, it is very common to find two families in a household, brings in extra cash!

my ancestors couldn't read or write so the enumerator spelt it as it sounded and some of the spelling were quite unique thank heavens for
soundex even if the spelling is wrong there is enough info to know you have the right family
