No one should make fun of the dead ...... he was a very proactive MP from what I hear - irrespective of which party you support.

We could do with a few more ..... (proactive MPs that is ... LOL !!!)

he was a mp when he died
but he was once middlesbroughs first non whit councillor
not that that matters he was a good man

he stood for labour in 1987

Sat on my hands for a while before replying to this one.... Ashok wasn't a councillor but a Member of Parliament (MP)
Not the same political colour as me but...
He was 53 years old and died alone, being found in his armchair. Autopsy results say hereditary heart disease. Also yesterday I was told of the sudden death of someone else I know, aged 50.
These deaths are very tragic. Relatively young men with much to offer their local communities. Not entertainment value......
