I'm not a lady and my Mother in Law would be horrified if she could hear some of the names I call them.

Night night YG sleep well and see you tomorrow.

They are cute, as long as they are not in my lawn :-D :-D :-D :-D

I am off to bed, ladies. It is a bit late for me! I hadn't noticed the time ticking away :-D :-D

Sleep well and enjoy the sunshine tomorrow :-) <3

Of the highest order is what my Mother in Law would have said.

They really are pests :-|

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 26 Feb 2022 22:38

We still have the bald patches from the moles, nothing grows there, not weeds nor grass. :-|

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 26 Feb 2022 22:35

Well that will be one less thing to worry about, unless you take it up of course.

LaGooner Report 26 Feb 2022 22:31

It was professionally laid so it was done properly

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 26 Feb 2022 22:26

That's good then I suppose ;-), I know we used to have grass growing in the guttering till hubby did something to stop it, so I have always thought grass will grow anywhere.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Feb 2022 22:21

Evening ZZzzz not a sign of real grass :-D

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 26 Feb 2022 22:20

Seems like a strange thing to say, but has grass planted itself in the artificial grass?

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Feb 2022 22:11

I probably will take it up but as you say it does look really tidy :-D :-D. One thing is that it is a good quality and looks ok but it scrunchies as you walk on it :-D :-D

YG

YG Report 26 Feb 2022 22:08

Are you going to take the artificial grass up and lay turf, LG? I know that real grass causes some work to keep it nice, but I would never replace it with artificial grass, even it was the size of a postage stamp. It stops nature in its tracks! The only consolation at the moment, is that it will look ok until you're ready to follow your own plans for the garden.

Our green bins don't start until April. This garden is in dire need of some plants as the back is all artificial grass with not a flower in sight except for the tubs I bought with me. The front has no plants either and is just stone chips it looks awful

I agree with you, LG, get the house sorted, then you have somewhere to sit and relax after a busy tie in the garden!! The weather will hopefully be better then, although I can't complain about today.

The gardener is due to restart again some time in March, but I just wanted to tidy it up a bit. it has faired very well through the winter with not so may weeds as I usually have. I need to dead head the big hydrangea tomorrow. We have the first green bin emptying next week and it's almost full just from the last week!

Evening YG, if we get him back he will be grounded for a long time :-|. We have had enough stress with the move without him playing silly whatsits.
I see you have been busy in the garden, ours could do with a bit of a tidy but the house must come first. :-D

YG Report 26 Feb 2022 21:21

He is a very naughty cat, LG :-) Sone neighbours across the road from me had two cats and when they moved they kept returning and my next door neighbour was frequently phoning them to fetch one or the other of them. I don't know whether they kept them in after that for a while, but I haven't seen them round here now for a long time.

Evening all, we have been busy shopping for curtain poles etc and then unpacking some more stuff. No sign of the little BU***r of a cat yet. I went round to my old neighbour and left her my phone number in case he turns up there and I have also got the couple who we swapped with to keep an eye out.

I've done some bits and pieces but mainly lots of ironing, I hate that job. I don't do gardening that's hubbies job and we have gardeners to do the heavy stuff cos we can't :-(
