Jeeeze took me ages to settle em down for the night lol

I think their body clocks are all out because of the inforced 8hrs lights on 8 hrs lights off.........

They came to life at locking in time.

Dread to think what time they'll be up and about tomorrow *gulps*

Knocked round all my neighbours today to explain the noise situation and to assure them it will only be short term.

Crawled a bit and gave them some free range eggs bought from the place they were rescued from as a softener....(they are chicken enthusiasts too and have their own free rangers)......luckily only got really positive responses so I think we've got away with it ....People that live behind us sent their children over to see them .......now they're considering getting some when they rehome again at the end of August.

It's all good :0)

Ta. I'll be happier about it when the original two settle with them a bit I have to admit.

Enjoy Muffy! If you take a look at Rita's thread you can find out how to knit little jackets for them!! Well, the night are drawing in...

They're here !!!! and they're surprisingly healthy looking !!! Not the oven ready sad cases I expected them to be......they look a bit anaemic and scruffy but nothing a bit of TLC won't fix...the original two chickens are clucking their heads off in disgust.......even though there's a divider between them........I don't think I'm going to be a very popular neighbour until the pecking order has been established !!! *yikes* lol

THey've gone into the shed now for a rest ....and still the original two are shouting lol....poor souls are most likely exhausted even with the small amount of moving around they've done today....it's most likely more than they've managed to move in their entire 18 month lifetime.

*pecky Becky* seems to be the braver of the three new ones so far and I'm betting she'll end up as *Queen Hen* in the fullness of time.

Chuffed to bits with them anyhow (will be happier when original pair shut up a bit though lol)....Hoping loads went to new homes today ....they're so docile and sweet xx

*For those on my FB they'll hopefully be some pics of them on there later* (got new hard drive and have to reaload all the bleedy software for the camera lol xx

Muffy
we got 3 ex battery hens in June one is looking beautiful now and really soft the other two are a bit scraggly still but they are eating out of our hands now.
They didnt take long to learn to use the ramp into their house and are good chucks and are in bed around 8.30pm so no dirty stop outs.

I give my neighbour and space eggs to keep them sweet but he says they dont bother them.
