Hi Footie

I know what you mean - just back from a 7 hour journey from Cheltenham to Newcastle.

The daft thing is that I could've flown to Bristol for a quarter the price and more than a quarter less in time terms

But - Bamburgh is worth the pain: honest!

Hi Footie

There's a direct rail link from Birmingham (I know, cos I've just been on it only yesterday) to Edinburgh.

If you get off the east coast main line at Newcastle and join the local transport system, you'll be able to take full advantage of Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne.

So much, you'll enjoy!
