You've done very well with the little dog, Tec. Your patience will hopefully mean she has found a good home.

How about Harrogate Linda? Lovely places for lunch.

Sue calls me the Dog Whisperer :-D

It just takes patience, and tact, and understanding :-)

Oh Tec :-D that is wonderful news , I knew you would be the man for the task . <3

I've never been anywhere in the North.

Did once go to Yorkshire Television Studio to take part in a promotional tv ad, but it was dark and I was driven.

Might have been Leeds - wasn't paying attention - went to sleep. :-D

Amanda that is the dog that was terrified of men, but Sue fetched her in to see me every day.
She wouldn't come near me for days, but slowly with tact and patience I tempted her with a biscuit while not making eye contact, which some dogs regard as confrontation.
At first she would nervously take a piece of biscuit and then run for it.

By the time she left she was coming to me and rolling on her back for a tickle - job done :-D

Whitby sounds good - I like Saltburn too. Bridlington, Robin Hood's Bay...take your pick.

I am glad the dog has settled in Tec, it would be a bit of a disaster if she had to come back

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 10 Nov 2014 22:04

Tec , is that the dog that is scared of men ? I hope she settles down and has found her forever home .

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Nov 2014 22:03

That sounds good Amanda so just get in and shake them up.
:-D

OK Tec, we will pick you up mid morning. I expect you will want to go to the Magpie for fish and chips

Amanda2003 Report 10 Nov 2014 22:03

Sue , I don't think he will be very impressed next week when I get made into the site secretery :-D He will think twice about coming up to me to speak about anything .
If he looks as if he is going to lash out I'm sure my OH would make mincemeat out of him :-)

Whitby-Whitby-Whitby sounds lovely , I haven't been there since I was a girl . Enjoy your day out , if that's where you decide to go Linda .

The latest dog that went to her new home on Friday is apparently settling down very well.
Her new owners e-mailed Sue today.

She was taken on a fortnights trial period, but everything seems ok so far.

Well Linda , the association has quite a bit of money tucked away , they are in charge of quite a lot of the sites in the area . We know that a friend of the man went to the association accountant and looked at the books , ( apparently that is allowed under freedom of info act ? ) , so maybe they where checking it out to see if they can affod legal representation . We are also affeliated with the National Allotment Association , so I can't see the legal side of things being a problem , the management just need to get on with it !!! grrrrrr

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 21:54

Whitby - Whitby -Whitby :-D

Can I come?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Nov 2014 21:53

O h has just asked me if I want to go out anywhere tomorrow, but I can't think of anything to do. Where do you think we should go Sue?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 21:53

Amanda - If I got into a wheelie bin I would never get out :-D

So then, it is up to the Association to take legal action, but a chat with a solicitor would be advisable initially.
He would advise on costs, which can be considerable in the Civil Court.

The Association have a good case, and if the court went in your favour, then the silly man may have to pay costs.

Does he know what he is getting into?

Serves him right for being so stupid :-(
