LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Nov 2014 23:11

Goodnight Tec, I am going off as well

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 23:05

Linda the excuse given several days ago was that there was no time for a "technical release"

What on earth does that mean?

Off to bed,

Goodnight everyone,

Tec :-)

It is the lack of respect that is so shameful Sue,

Shows a total indifference to the sensibilities of the members using the main site.

Facebook is a different entity entirely

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Nov 2014 23:00

They have always had a poppy for years, so maybe there is some sort of problem this year.

Bye Amanda

SueMaid Report 10 Nov 2014 23:00

I must be off too - things to do and places to go.

Goodnight friends <3 <3 <3

Amanda2003 Report 10 Nov 2014 22:57

My Meg has just got in from work so I had better be off to get her something to eat.

They have chosen names for the expected twins by the way , Odin and Orian . :-D

I'll catch you all later :-)

It's a shame they haven't put the poppy on the top of the page but I guess we don't need it to remember. Shows a lack of respect - I think that's what is so annoying.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 22:51

It is apparent on another thread that so many GR members don't do Facebook.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 22:48

Yes I may well hide from the weather and sort the wardrobes out Amanda,

I think it is appalling that GR didn't have the decency to display a poppy on their Home Page.

So much of their revenue comes from members researching ancestors involved in WW1 :-|

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 10 Nov 2014 22:47

I guess they want to make a good impression on FB then Linda :-(

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Nov 2014 22:46

It is odd they haven't put the poppy on here this year because they have changed the header picture on their Facebook page to a field of poppies

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 10 Nov 2014 22:42

A good day to sort out your clothes then Tec ?

I'm glad to hear that Maisie has settled in okay Sue .

I've just changed my profile photo as GR haven't put their poppy on , shame on them !

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 22:40

It's good that Maisie has settled so well and that you enjoy her. I'm sure that she'll give you many years of companionship, and have a good life.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 22:38

Oh dear, we are having torrential rain tomorrow, with a severe weather warning - great :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 22:31

There is no point in getting old - unless you grow crafty :-D

Well that's my philosophy :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 10 Nov 2014 22:30

Maisie has settled in very well and is well and truly part of the family. She is very easy to train and very lovable.

Amanda - I think the management is hoping the problem goes away.

Amanda2003 Report 10 Nov 2014 22:29

There has never been a lid on our " swing " bin , well now for years and years anyway . He has just learnt how to be very stealthful over his many years , crafty old devil ......lol He is much loved <3

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 22:26

Sounds like you may have to invest in a Milo proof bin Amanda :-D

14 is a good age for his breed - good for him, obviously well loved. :-)

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 10 Nov 2014 22:23

Our old dog Milo is getting more potty as each day passes , he keeps stealing things out of the bin , especially any bags that have meat smells on them , I either find the evidence ripped up on the floor or worse still , in his " buisness " when I'm cleaning up the lawn :-S :-0 He will be 14 on the 1st of January , which is a very good age for a running dog .

Sue , has your new girl settled in , I expect it is as if she has always been a part of your household now .

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2014 22:21

Yes biscuits, and a love of dogs does help - also the fact that Milo readily came to me helped, and she realised that nothing terrible happened to him :-D
