I have a couple of things to say about handing jobs to other people but not letting go. I organized our Christmas lunch and the secretary put the wrong date in the newsletter without letting me know. as it is a busy time of year a lot of regulars can't make it. She has made an easy job very difficult :-(

Linda - I can't believe your great niece is one already :-0

Paper plates and a big black bag, easy :-D

It's very kind of you both to organise the party for the little ones, especially as your niece is unwell.
Hope it all goes well.

don't envy the clearing up :-D

Sorry I disappeared, my sister called again. It is her granddaughters first birthday party next Sunday in Leeds. She is having a small soft play party with just about ten children of various ages.
I wouldn't bother, but it is a good place to catch up with my sister before Christmas. She wants me to collect the presents for Eve and Esme which are too heavy to post.

My sister is supplying the food for the adults and I am turning up with all the food for the kids. My niece isn't very well, plus she is working,so if we can take some of the pressure off her, that will help. I have been to lots of toddler parties so I am up to speed on all the acceptable food

I sat at the same table, and in the same seat that you will remember. :-D

it's not a bad dining room for an out of the way village pub

Officially my quota is zero - but as I've already had a large glass of white with my lunch - I have to be good - unfortunately :-(

Better not Linda - I don't want my heart rate to go up :-D Anyway - I'm a white wine drinker which was lucky at your house. I got the bottle to myself :-D
