Oh yes, I forgot she was going out for breakfast,

Goodnight again

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Nov 2014 22:47

I am turning in early tonight, so you can entertain Sue and Berona when they arrive

Goodnight, sleep well when the time comes

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Nov 2014 22:46

It's arrogance really - on the basis of "Who would bother with me"

:-D

I expect Sue is enjoying her breakfast al fresco in the sunshine :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Nov 2014 22:40

You were a silly billy :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Nov 2014 22:35

Just being there :-D

The British had long gone together with their forces, but there was a contingent of a Scottish Regiment helping to fight Communist terrorists coming from the North.

Walking along a remote dusty road looking for a lift, a jeep pulled up with Scottish Military Police.
They asked questions, were not impressed, told me what a silly person I was :-D
and arrested me, apparently for my own safety.
I was taken to a railway station in the morning - and told to get lost, or words to that effect
:-D

Ooh what had you done :-0

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Nov 2014 22:14

I once got arrested traveling from Singapore Island, up the Malay Peninsular to Penang.
Thrown into a cell overnight.........but they did feed me :-D

I wish I had seen all the exotic places you have

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Nov 2014 21:59

Oh, I did quite a bit of traveling inland too. Sometimes leaving the ship for a few days to pick it up elsewhere provided it was the same country, or adjacent to.
We were allowed to do that, using accrued leave.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Nov 2014 21:55

Well, you just stuck to coasts :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Nov 2014 21:54

I see what you mean about the squares.

I regret not having seen more of Europe - but my path took me in other directions

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Nov 2014 21:49

He is going to Krakow now, we have been there as well, the central squares all look much the same

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Nov 2014 21:45

The architecture looks very attractive, as does much that I've seen on film in Eastern Europe

I once knew a Polish lady who said how plain and ugly British houses were compared to Poland

Ah where he is now is where we went last year

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Nov 2014 21:40

I do enjoy his railway journeys. I've watched all his series.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Nov 2014 21:37

We are watching it as well

Oh that's such a shame for Esme, especially the setback in weight. I hope she improves and they don't take forever to programme another scan when she is well enough.

I am watching Portillo on his railway journey from Warsaw to Krakow - quite interesting.
