Ooh, I love a challenge :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:40

I'm not scared of Linda or Sylvia :-0

I've met scarrier ladies than them by far. :-D much scarrier

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Nov 2014 22:39

Grr, you know you need one for the bedroom and landing, so get it sorted- You tell him as well Sylvia

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:38

Having five wheelchairs is plain greedy, and slightly weird :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 27 Nov 2014 22:37

Poor Tec - Linda and Sylvia are very scary :-0

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Nov 2014 22:36

You can buy the electric beds in any furniture shops here

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:35

Yes you can Sue - there are lots of them around.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Nov 2014 22:34

And soon you will have five wheelchairs because Sylvia and I are on your case :-D :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 27 Nov 2014 22:33

I think you can buy beds that have remote controls. In fact you can buy double beds where you can customize both sides to suit.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:33

Sylvia the one I intended to buy today looks exactly like an ordinary divan, and does the same things.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:31

I've got so many things here Persie. Four wheelchairs.

One in the house downstairs,
One to get into the garden down ramps,
One at the top of the stairs to get around the bathroom,
One kept in the car.

and two walkers of different types.

A pair of crutches,

and a wooden leg,

A parrot on my shoulder,

A patch over one eye,

Apart from that I run about the place quite well really :-D

Tec

It sounds as if you are a contortionist .................... but I bet it is comfortable!

would you be able to buy one that does the same thing?

My aunt found the walker too wide for her to get around so her son got the hacksaw and made it narrower; it was ample for her small frame.

These remote controlled beds are rather good though, a young lass who was having her appendix out had one when I was in hospital.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:24

I have the shape of my bed down to a fine art.

Must say that it's quite comfortable

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Nov 2014 22:22

Dad used to fiddle with his remote and get the bed into a weird shape, we had to tuck the remote out of the way so he couldn't play with it

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:19

Sylvia I can raise or lower the bed electronically, and raise the ends.

I sleep kind of banana shape, as in a hammock.

I have to sleep with lots of pillows and the head raised otherwise I get angina, then the end raised to sleep with my leg elevated (legs in the air)

Life used to be so simple - I could just go to bed and lie flat :-D

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 27 Nov 2014 22:15

how easy is it to get out of that bed, Tec??

That might be something else to consider

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:13

Well I never put the rails up, so I could fall out :-D

I suppose they are for people that need them.

I'm not likely to fall out :-D but if I do - I do :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 27 Nov 2014 22:09

We don't want you falling out of bed Tec - you may end up like a tortoise on its back :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Nov 2014 22:06

Good Morning Sue,

I am pleased that someone here is fit and health - stay that way :-D
