Looks like another nice day tomorrow - 13C here.

We are likely to be slaughtered by the Springbocs tomorrow.

Three of our key players are out, including George North, which is a bit of a blow :-(

This marmalade is called Old English breakfast marmalade and is thick cut but without the grapefruit.

Linda we have Vogel's bread, very thin cut (it is the only one that does thin now) .

And we also buy a bread called Freya's Roggenbrot which is excellent.

That is another thing we don't do like the Americans... not sure if they have changed their bread since I was there but it was terrible.. We used to buy French and German bread.. their packaged bread was the pits.

Why can't you have cranberry? I know OH is not supposed to have grapefruit because of his statins

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Nov 2014 22:37

Manuka honey is very expensive here.

I am not allowed grapefruit, or cranberry either. Which is a shame as I like grapefruit

Persephone Report 28 Nov 2014 22:31

Oh no home made bread I forgot.. I do make banana bread..

I don't have a bread maker either.. but then I know how to do it in the oven.. I even have a camp oven .. could make some damper.

The marmalade is orange (no grapefruit.. Sylvia is not allowed Grapefruit)

I think you will have to have clover honey, don't have any Manuka or Rata.

You can guarantee petrol prices won't fall Linda,

Persie I do hope that American customs don't reach you in NZ.

They just seem to happen here, overnight, before we realise.

I hate marmalade, grapefruit and tea (the drink) Apart from that I will try most things

Honey on toast would be very nice thank you. I assume the bread is home made of course :-D

It has just said that oil prices fell to a four year low today. I bet the petrol prices don't go down

I have just watched the news showing silly people fighting over TV sets in supermarkets. Absolute madness

Hello Berona - nice to see you live, as it were :-)

I had no idea what Black Friday was all about until today when it was explained on radio.

I have been having pop-up ads all week on my laptop from numerous firms advertising their Black Friday bargains - so called.

Why do we imitate America? :-|

I won't have coffee as I need to get going. I have an appointment to have my hair cut.

Goodnight Tec and Linda <3 <3

I know what you mean Tec, having slept in the lounge towards the end of doing up our house and then sleeping in the lounge when we got down here until I freed up a room for us. We had stuff everywhere.

Berona Report 28 Nov 2014 22:10

Hello all. Nice to be here in time to talk to you.

Thanks for the update on Black Friday, Tec. I have been receiving promo emails from places where I have bought online and which are connected to American stores. I keep wanting to ask "when is Black Friday?" because I, too, have always believed it had to be on 13th of the month - any month. In this country, those are the days when our lottery offices, newsagents, etc. are inundated with customers - all hoping that they will have special luck on that day.
