Lol Ann.... just popping in to say goodnight!!

We have had a very busy day... learned a new song.... dredged it up from my days working in the school... it was a game, really, but had songs attached... I just altered the game to actions... it's about elephants balancing on a piece of string, lolol She loved it... then we dug out some elephant drawings... she printed them off, and we have painted them in... well, she painted them, I got more over me, lol.... son then took her out for a walk while there was a break in the bad weather, and she came back drenched from puddle pounding......

The two of us curled up on the sofa to watch Happy Feet..... we both dozed, lol...

We had roast beef and yorkshires... and now we are all exhausted... I am sure we did more than that........ but the day has just flown by!

Off to bed now... did you enjoy your meal out?

Good morning from a wet, windy and horrible Gloucester. Off out to lunch, meeting friends so throwing clothes all over the place trying to find something to wear!!!

Have a lovely day with littley Daff.

BC The scaffolding looks beautiful, all white crystal lights and baubles, a veritable fairy castle (not)!!!!

MrDaff Report 22 Nov 2009 10:22

Morning all.... lol....BC, if we add an embellishment for Ann's scaffolding, we'll soon have it looking so wonderful she and T won't want it taken down, lololol I did loads of swearing, yesterday, too.... and the ironing board has a new home in R's computer room.....

Littlie is now here, Ann, all safe and sound, has had her breakfast, and a cuppa... insisted on Peppa Pig knickers and socks (my fault, I'm afraid, as I introduced her to Peppa Pig last time she was here, lol) and fortunately we had some... same with the jim jams last night... that caused a bit of a panic, until I remembered that older Littlie's Christmas Jim jams, all neatly wrapped ready for the big day, contained a pair of Peppa Pig jim jams, too big for S, but she doesn't give a fig as long as they are Peppa Pig.... oooh, that rhymes!!... *sigh* so much for being ahead of myself, lol, but at least little S went to bed all serene and happy, lol

Joy, I am really looking forward to it......... I didn't want to say *yes* until closer to the day... it felt a bit like tempting fate, lolol, but now I am really beginning to plan much further ahead!! Feels great! My arm is still a little bit tender... but the jab was put into one of the places I had a driver in when I was in hospital.... I ended up with a reaction, in each spot... so as I had the driver in 4 different places over 2 weeks, I have corresponding sore spots...

~~~~~~~~ to Maz
R and B have both actually got up, slightly after 10am..... on a Sunday!! That must be a bit of a record, lolol They are not good morning people, though... S and I have been laughing at their grumpiness, lolol
Right.... off to have a shower and leave the blokes in the gentle hands of littlie, lolol ;¬))
Afternoon all:-) Rain, rain and more rain here but very mild so don't have the heating on. I had to tackle a load of **usework today as I let it pile up. I made excuses until a few hours ago and then got to it. I think I am allergic to it:-)
I hope you have all been having a more pleasant day, that Ann got the pink fairy lights for the scaffolding with a blown up Father Chrstmas on the top...and that Daffy is enjoying her little one's visit...
Morning all.... slightly overcast here, but the sun is valiantly trying to break through...... there is that unique *glow* around that suggests blue skies and sunshine ahead, for a while at least. I haven't a clue what the weather was like last night.... I slept like a log again... woke at 9.10 am, lol.... what a lazybones!!
Today, R and I will be dragging all littlies stuff out of the garage...... and trying to find somewhere to store the ironing board, cos it is in her bedroom at the moment, lolol
Right.... off for a shower, and then some breakfast
morning everyone my nativity play is more a tableau its the community carol service for the end of term, the toddler parents dress their littlies as either angels or shepherds ,
my next group act the main parts ,then our youth do the narration ,this is mixed with carols and lasts about 30mins . the church members usually fill the gaps with readings etc so is all a team thing but no rehearsals just happens .
Hi Jude, scaffolding is to have new windows put in, new barge boards put up and brickwork re-pointed but nit until next wednesday.
Don't you just love visitors who mess around with arrangements?
Daff, now there's an idea!!
3 and a half hours it took them to put the scaffolding up. Looking out of this window now is like being in a cage!!
AnninGlos
AnninGlos Report 20 Nov 2009 11:02
Well he starts Wednesday, it will likely take a couple of days, then we will have to wait until this lot return to take it down. There is enough scaffolding out there to be building a house!!! I do feel very vulnerable with all this easy access to the upstairs windows which will have to be kept shut and locked at all times when we are out.
*yawns and stretches* That was SUCH a good sleep... woke up just once for a pit stop and oilchange... straight back out like a light until R came back in to say he was going now (he always gives me a kiss before he goes, bless him, lol)... and then I went back to sleep again, lol... R even resurrected an old petname for me... he used to say I cwtched up like a kitten... so called me Kitten or Lovely for years... he only uses my proper name in an emergency, lol In fact... he rarely uses any of my names, lol... he just patiently waits until he has my attention!
I gather there has been dreadful weather around the country.... I'll go and have a look... I just heard that a policeman has died when a bridge was swept away.... didn't catch where it was. I do hope there are no other deaths.
I'm so pleased they weren't showing their bots, Ann, lol... Littlie often has a builder's bum, these days, now she is out of nappies..... she spoke to me last night.... her words were *mah BUM, Buddy, iss mah BUM* her nursery teachers say that when ever Granny is mentioned she hoicks her trousers up, and says that, lol..... I am for ever re-adjusting so she isn't baring all to the world, lolol Yep, she is small, but dangerous!! *beams proudly*
Jac... I am a little sore and achey all over, to be honest.... but that could be because I slept so soundly and didn't toss and turn........ I have a memory foam mattress and pillow... I didn't think I would get on with the pillow, but it is wonderful.... I would have been woken up much earlier with achey bits before I had them... they have been wonderful! I used to get tingling and pins and needles in my fingers, as well, as I sleep with a hand clutching the corner of the pillow, so there is weight on the hand..... but that has totally disappeared since I had the pillow.
Ann....... next Wednesday isn't tooooooo bad..... the house across the way from us had scaffolding up for about three weeks... the actual work took a day and a half, lol
BC... and everyone else... you'll always be welcome... no begging bowls needed lol Actually, I find cooking large amounts like that very therapeutic... I love to see the freezer nicely stocked with homecooked stuff.... I had let it all go by the board a bit last year, as I just couldn't be bothered... the standing sorting the veg out is very hard on my back and hips..... and my hands ache holding the knife.... but of course, that is nowhere near as bad, now..... well, most of the time it isn't. So I get in there when I feel ok.... some days that is all I can manage, but at least we won't starve ;¬))
Maz, I used to love the Nativity plays when I worked at the school... although my first was a bit of a culture shock... Joseph had fallen out with the three wise men... the donkey and the ass were at each others throats..... and Mary had fallen out big time with the Archangel Gabriel... the dress rehearsal was a nightmare...... dawned the big day, some parents were arriving, plus local bigwigs, and some of the specialists who worked with the pupils... and in the staffroom, where all the actors were gathering, there was world war three going on... blood was drawn by Mary first... she punched Gabriel in the face...... his lovely white costume, lovingly stitched by moi, was ruined, and a sheet had to be found.... the language was somewhat less than Celestial, and not an ounce of Peace and Goodwill was being shown by one of them... culminated in Gabriel being beaten up with the baby Jesus... then Baby Jesus' head being ripped off and thrown at Mary..... *sigh* It was Anarchy!!
Then..... Mrs. H rang a little bell.... it had appeared out of nowhere, and she reckoned it just arrived on her desk, lol like... magic... and all of a sudden.... the whole motley cast became angelic and wonderful.... trooped into the hall all quiet and serene, beaming smiles and emanating love and peace, lolol.... performed without a hitch... well, just one, when the innkeeper told Joseph and Mary to p*** off...... and they were WONDERFUL.... I cried my eyes out... relief, I think!
Last I saw of Gabriel and Mary... they were going home in different taxis... hostilities had resumed, and they were hurling abuse at each other through the window of their taxi, lol......... All was forgotten by the time they got back in January... and they were in love again. They were 10, lolol!! Bless them!
Jean, I am going to have a brilliant weekend, lolol ;¬)))
Right.... must go and find out what is happening in the world.
Love
