Well having spent another hour or so.....now have more houses to research,which is brilliant .some are no longer there but a feel for the area is just as good..

If anyone feels the need to sneak preview a members boardname property then boy they must be short of something to do or sick in the head.or both!

have looked at mine and mum's and it would seem the pix were taken sometime last summer. I'm not worried about my house being on there, nothing very interesting to be seen. BUT I have checked some addresses from my tree and now have a list of houses that are still there which I can visit with my sister :-) so I'm VERY happy with it!

There's a house close to the one where my Dad was born - I want to go there, to bring the past into the present.

I spent a couple of hours last night capturing pics of houses I had lived in as a child, my brothers' school, the school my sister and I attended. The hospital where we were all born (which is no longer a hospital). etc., Then when I am really bored I'll remove the cars and people that spoil the views...lol

OUrs caught the TV detector van going through the outskirts here...but only the one photo.

The Google car was in our street last week.

I wonder if the picture will show the shocked expression on my face at being caught on camera in my baggiest trousers and daughter's cast-off jumper, when I popped out to the wheelie bin?

Yes I found ancestors house..... saved and converted it into photo to add with research which was all I would use site for....not into snooping on peoples houses I aint that warped.!

I went into google

Put in street view

went into google maps

then pressed street view option

then put address of place I wanted to look at

The pointie things I think came up once I was in looking.........

I probably will Cat tbh lol........I had a look earlier around the streets where I was brought up.........I'll not be able to resist a peep at any houses that are still with us.

Would serve me right if the owners blanked em out though LOL xx

I've not really thought about it tbh. I have blinds at the windows so people can't see in and I'll admit I'm not much of a gardener so my garden is a tip and will remain so until at least mid May and I get some time to cut it down a bit.
