My first films were Dr Doolittle with Rex Harrison, and then the Jungle Book - the snakes swirling eyes scared the poop out of me for weeks afterwards, I was 28 at the time! Just kidding I was about 4 or 5 years old. |

Well I got taken to the Jacy Cartoon Cinema by my big brother when I was around 4 (mainly becuase he wanted to go and taking me meant Mum would pay). The first 'grown up cinema' was in Clacton in the pouring rain and Mary Poppins (I was bored rigid at 5 years only and with the attention span of a goldfish) I played shops in the gangway with empy sweet wrappers and the usherette fell over me in the dark much to Mum's horror. |

I was 5 and my mother took me to see Bambi. When Bambi lost her Mother, by all accounts I cried my eyes out and Mum had to take me out of the Cinema. She told me the Cinema was called the Little Vic in Bradford. I really don't remember it but my Mum reminded me off it often lol. |

I must have been quite young when i was taken to see the red shoes and have to say I don't remember any of it, not even the end. If it was that bad maybe I blanked it out!! |

The very first movie I was ever taken to was The Red Shoes, with Moira Shearer. I remember my Mum taking me as a special treat and I never ever forgot the movie. I tried to watch it again a few months ago and turned if off before it got to the end. I think it won Acadmey Awards, was beautifully presented, had the most glorious dancing, and wonderful music. The only recollection I have of that evening was getting dressed up in a pretty dress; and the end of the movie. I had nightmares for weeks after. It truly has one of the worst endings of any movie I have every seen. My poor Mum thought it would be a real treat. Needless to say her gangly uncoordinated daughter never did turn out to be a dancer, preferred to climb trees. |

Oooh I think it was Bambi - I was about three or four and fell asleep halfway through, so I missed Bambi's mum getting shot! I couldn't understand why all the other kids were so distressed at the end! |
