On a serious less moaning note here....Good evening Jean, I must say I am more than a little concerned that gritters haven't been out yet..the near threat of ice in this town and the gritters are out and they do grit the pavements as well, if you stand in the centre of this town there is no way you get out of it without going up hill...now weather this makes any difference I don't but they are spot on with gritting as such..as you say its London and its not as if we havent been warned already about the weather.. |

I rang up Westminster Council in a real fury as I had slid my way down the street. When I asked why we had not been gritted she gave me some waffle about 'prioritising'....What does that mean, exactly, I asked icily (!)...She then put me on hold, and when she came back she said my street would be done today. That's funny, I said, because I havent told you what my street name is yet! lol BC XX |

Thank you for asking, Shimms:-) I have survived by holding firmly on to railings and skating most of the way on my leopardskin Doc Martens. Not very elegant when topped with a green peaked knitted hat.... but hey, it's a crisis....lol...BC XX |
