Hi BC, sorry you are having a problem with the coughing, is it a tickly cough or different? Vick on the soles of the feet then wear bedsocks helps ease a cough, dark chocolate sucked slowly helps a tickly cough, or a little honey in warm water? Also sleeping almost sitting up will help a bit.
Sorry can't help any more than those ideas, hope you get some sleep soon and feel better when you get up again.

Happy New Year to you in case I miss you nearer the day, are you home again now?

Morning BC... Liz got there first with the Vick on yer feet and then a pair of socks on..... I'm sure you could borrow a nice thick pair of socks from the Seaman's mission ;¬)) It does work, 9 times out of 10... and if you are the Recalcitrant One, then hot toddies, lots of, and lots of pillows so you don't fall over, lol!

Hope you are feeling better soon, nothing worse than a stubborn cough, unless it's toothache.

Love and hugs

Hi Buttercup.

Am I being too obvious - have you tried Buttercup Syrup on your cough?! Sounds to me to be just the thing for you. lol.
My Dad swears by the stuff.

BC I have found that a drink of hot squash, orange or blackcurrant soothes a tickly cough.
I sympathise as I had a cough like it a couple of weeks ago.

Many thanks for all your advice:-) Last night, I stuck my head in a steamy Olbas Oil bucket, had Lemsip with Vodka and Lemon and Ginger...lol..but I forgot the Buttercup Syrup...tried to sleep upright but kept toppling over! It is most definitely an Irish cold Claire, so have sent a pithy email to the person who kindly handed it on to me. What a wuss ...it's only a cold!

Am dying to hear your good news, Daff:-)

Morning BC - morning all :-)

Hiya BC, hope you managed to get some sleep in the end. My doctor told me this one, and it works.......1 teaspoon of Buttercup Syrup in half a small glass of hot water and sip slowly.

Hope you're feeling better soon, I could do with a good night out down the Seamen's Mission.......but only if you Promise not to leave me there like you did last time!! lol

Morning BC and All

Aww sorry to hear you're suffering with THE cough, it's all the rage at the moment. B and I have had it too.

Seriously though it is nasty, feels like being choked, and worse when it keeps you awake. I always take honey and then keep taking little sips of water to keep throat from drying out.
Bailey's is marvellous as well ;O) and with ice even better x
Hope you recover soon........will listen at the stroke of 12 to hear you singing "Auld Lang Syne" :O)

Hi Daff glad to hear you've had good news X
