So you're not a country girl then Pauline lol. My son always moans when he gets in my car, says it stinks of horses and dog but I can't smell it

Evening Ladies
Sorry I've been out all day today. We had a drive to Swindon and hubby finally got me a lovely Christmas gift in time for our hols. I now have a beautiful handbag and purse. Both I wanted and needed the purse badly.

We then carried on to Marlborough, where there was a street market. We got some nice cheeses local butter and bacon too.

Lunch out was a nice jacket potato with prawn cocktail.

We saw sheep with lambs this morning..................... spring is on its way !!!

The sun shone and oh does that make things seem better.

Mum now has to have a full body scan and bone marrow tests to see what is going on. Dad is just waiting for the call for when he goes in for his op which he has to have under an epidural because of his heart issues.

I do hope your son in law gets good news from his tests Rita I am thinking of him too at this time

I hope you girls get rid of your tummy acke by tomorrow.
I have left messages on my daughters telephone but had no reply so I am getting worried now I will have to wait till she phones me . she may be at the hospital or even at her daughters or sons.

it is very cold here we have a frost which was a surprise as yesterday it was not too bad so I didnt expect this.

I have no good news of my son in law Steve I could weep buckets, he has a tumor of the gullette (I dont know what the medical word is. )
They went private so he was seen the next day at Clementine hospital where he had a gastroscope done then they sent him onto Crompton Hospital in London straight away where he was told it was not good news and he would need Chemo. They are going to do a special CT scan today they want to see if it has spread anywhere else. My daughter is so brave about it, I could hear by her voice it was agony to tell me . she has a bad heart so I am worried about her now as well.
Steve said I wonder what I will look like bald. he is trying to be brave about it.
both their sons and daughter are devastated by it all. He was up set as they planned to take the grandchildren to the Isle of wight on a holiday this year I told him they would rather have you around that a holiday I am sure.
My daughter said why is it we are getting knocked down so many times over the last few years
There was her with a bad heart. Stacey who lost one of the twins and then has been in and out of hospital still is for different things.and the children all having to go in for operations of some sort.
Life a bitch.

I'm sorry my love ......yes life is a bitch but think positive , he is now being dealt with and I'm sure the doctors WILL do their best for him.

We all think the worst, but for all of the family's sake you have to gain some strong thoughts on his treatment.

Take care and come off boards for a few days,and talk to your family we will always be here for you.

Oh Rita, I'm so sorry to hear that news, I know you were worried it might be cancer but we were all hoping it wasn't.

I hope it hasn't spread anywhere else, will you let us know when you find out?

Rita, Marilyn's right, try to think positive. Lots of people have fought off cancer - including yourself and Marilyn.

thank you all for your remarks I know I can count on you if I need to speak to someone.
My daughter also named Rita-Jean phoned to say the hospital gave him an appointment for tomorrow for the P E T scan it is one I had not heard of I looked it up on Google and it goes into it throughly it is one of the wonders of the cancer world seems as it is private hospitals that have these I have never come across it in a NHS hospital. it travel through the body like a CT scan bt goes deeper probes this is to see if it has criculated anywhere else in he body.
They had a call saying they will get the results and treament explained that day.
in the meantime she phoned his NHS doctor to ask for a medical
certificate for work as he is unable to .he is a bus driver but was an engineer got his degree but went onto the buses as a driver.
The doctor told my daughter he guessed that was what was wrong it was a tumor that was why he asked them to go straight to the hospital what a way to work things to tell someone to go to A & E he could have had months waiting for appointment. if my daughter had not got onto her BUPA he would still not have known just points out the difference between NHS and Private.

So sorry to read about the news for your Son in law. Hope he gets help quickly and that he is soon on the road to recovery.

had a good day in London, went to Westfield, i got a pair of trainers and son got some jeans, tshirts and trainers, was glad to get home, my feet hurt with all the walking lol

Mo my sister lives near Hoo, across the river she can see Chatham and Gillingham
