Hi all,

Rita, I didn't know you were a Take a Breaker, I have been doing it almost all the time it has been out, and never won a big prize, yet! Used to win lots of little things when you had to put your name on a postcard and send off but they don't do that now!

Got on well at counsellor assessment and the new co ordinator has booked me to start seeing someone on 1st March as long as I can get there in the car, as it's too difficult to get there by two buses. Told o.h. he will have to start cycling. He asked if they wanted to see him too, why??? He took me to my house after to pick up mail as I hadn't been round for two weeks, and then we went to Sainsbury's and stocked up, our local supermarket is rubbish now the Somerfield part is gone and it's Budgens.

My son walked round and met us as he lives close by and we all ate in the cafeteria, £3.99 each for fish and chips which was ok and my lad had nice steak and ale pie and veg so I was glad he had a good meal. Snowed on the way home tho and it's very cold here. if o.h. can spend nearly £60 on his son and fiancee when he visited and it was his birthday, son ought to have treated him! he can certainly afford to treat me and my lad. The meal out on his birthday here was cheap and cheerful, his choice of restaurant, a Brewer's Fayre place, but his son managed to take him to a posh country place so it was much more expensive and between them they put away a bottle of wine and other drinks, his son won't understand his father has a drink problem and shouldn't drink much because of his medication. Thinks he knows it all - well he will when he has to look after his father cos I am not sticking around to be a carer!

Anyway better get ready to log off, o.h. will be getting up in a bit.

Take care all, stay warm and safe.
love
Lizxx

Hope the new counsellor is a good one this time Liz, how often will you see her?

Sue, Lady and Linda must have slept in this morning because they're usually here before me, looks like I'll have to make the tea and coffee.

Rita, watch how you go today while you're out, it might be slippery.

Pmsl Mo, I never even noticed the KENT part of your name, how observant am I???

Shelly, you haven't been on here much lately, how can he be moaning about it?

Marilyn, my hubby never complains either, he'll eat whatever I make.

Morning Liz and Pauline. I hope you get on Ok with the councellor Liz I am sure you will and get sorted out it must be horrible being in your situation so I will say good luck. I started doing Take a Break when it first came out I lived in Norfolk then the first week I won a hugh basket of artifical flowers it was really lovely an lasted me a couple of years. then I won a baby seat for a car my sons wife was expecting at that time so it came in handy and then I won £50 worth of NEXT vouchers but have won nothing since then that was about 15 years ago.I have a friend who lives in Great Yarmouth she won a Car and so many holidays she is so lucky she is always wining something. but I just enjoy doing the qizes and puzzels.
Puline I woke to snow flakes this morning and started to worry it would settle well up till now it hasnt and the sun is trying to come through. so I am hoping I get to the doctors and get my books before it turns for the worst.

Morning all you sleepy heads. most were up before me.

I am back had my blood done it will be five days before I know it goes to the consultant at St Peter's hospital as he was the one who asked for it to be done and my water as well. I am going to be quiet upset if I have to fo back there as well as St Lukes and The Royal Surrey I will going to three hospitals.
The snow stopped when I went out it was still laying about but soon went the sun came out but it is so cold I even put a woolie hat on with my coat with a hood and thick gloves I had to take my walking stick as my foot was playing up. have you ever tired to shop with a walking stick a handbag and shopping bag and just had a blood test it was a nightmare.then when I got to the shop the books I wanted were on the top shelf the one they use to put mens naughty book on they had a swing round I made a com plaint she told me your not the only one so many people are complaing she told me even we cannot reach the books but fourbouys altered there shops and so everyone was the same they didnt take into consideration that some had a lot of elder people living in it like our area she said sorry I dont mean to be rude I told your not it is true there are a lot of retirment flats around here.

I seem to have lost the first thread. My sister and l want to have a holiday in Weymouth we were going to Bournemouth but she went there last week for the day and said it would be too hilly for me better if we went to Weymouth and then travelled by bus around. we looked on the internet for Hotels and Guest Houses but the reviews from people say it was too noisy or the food was not good. so I wondered if any of you knew anything about Weymouth in Dorset. I have put a thread out on General Topics but had nothing back yet.

Cooee everyone.
Well we have not got the snow here, but where a cousin lives, about twenty miles away, they have got 6inches off the stuff, and it's drifted to 18inches.
The local farmers, have been out to clear the lanes up to the houses. How nice is that off them eh.
We did pop out for a few things this morning Linda, but did not stay out for any longer than we had to.
Marilyn, where did you find your little treasure. Does he do lessons on hoovering,if he does can I sign Roly up for lessons please. And if by any chance there is a cookery class that goes with it,put his name down for that as well.
How is the snow up your way Pauline. Is your sons transport still able to get through.
Rita, I love to do both the Chat and Take a Break competitions. I used to
send the answers off to them, but I have never had any luck.
I usually buy them on a friday, when I do my big shop. Then sit and read them that afternoon, and do the quizzes after that.
