Morning All

The Morning after the night before !

Hubby has an headache ....too much wine.

I feel just right. up like a lark.

Thanks for to tea Shelly, now what's so important on your shopping list that warrants you to go on a SUNDAY MORNING ?
Are they giving out freebies ?

Rita I watched the news this morning and saw the snow was very deep in New York, but our forecast don't sound that good either looks like some places might have more snow !

I'm being treated to Sunday dinner at Sons house, now isn't that a nice.

My Son is a fantastic cook, he wants shared a flat with a Cook and it was the best thing he ever did.
Much better than me & the rest of the family.

Going for me bath.....

Morning All
Have a good day.
Lazy morning so far, might pop out to a farmers market later.
The meal last night was lovely. Stuffed peppers for starters, Pork medallions for mains with daupinoise potatoes, french beans and carrots, then a cheese course finishing off with melting chocolate spnge pudding. I only had J2O to drink.
Hope to do some knitting and sewing today.
My favourite time of the year is Spring. Love all the bulbs. I have snowdrops in flower already. Showing the leaf spikes are daffodils, tulips, bluebells, crocuses and lily of the valley.
Bit dank and overcast here today. Hope it brightens up later.
Lighter meal today of salmon.

Be back later

It's damp and dark here Linda, it was yesterday as well, quite mild though. Mind you, it's not going to be mild much longer.

I love spring as well, I think you lot get your spring flowers a few weeks before we do though.

Marilyn, I wish my hubby had shared a flat with a cook, or a joiner, or a plumber, or an electrician, in fact if he was capable of doing anything - it would come in handy.

Can you tell I'm sick of having to get people in to do jobs - or do them myself?

I'm not speaking to him!!!

To any of you who are facebook members and dont know this they opened the files to everyone not just friends my daughters friend noticed my file on FB and she went and called at my daughters and told her.
FB didnt warn anyone what they were doing so you now have to got to change to friends only s to do this you have to go to account and the drop down will allow you to change all the features on the list to friends only you click onto the box and change. do a double check afterwards to make sure it understands

Oh no Shelly. What would you do with them. Good ol mum,it's always left up to us mums isn't it.
What a flippin horrible day we have had. My poor daughter had her bank card cloned. The bank phoned her and asked if she had done certain transactions, and because off all the problems that has been happening lately with banks, she would not take their word for it,so she went on the web and got the number she needed and she phoned them up.
And sure as eggs is eggs, yes it was true. Apparantly, they had done two transactions,on a phone top up,on a network she does not use. The bank became suspicious, when they tried to buy things on line, and put a stop to the card.
She has been told that they could have cloned the card,as far back as a year ago,and had only just got round to using it this weekend.
She was really cheesed off. But the bank has told her not to worry, they will reimberse her the money taken from her account.
Sorry Shelly,to many lines written I know, but how else could I explain what has happened.

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 7 Feb 2010 20:45

Shelly,
That's a lot of money for those tracky's , have you ever looked on line for them & the trainers as they are much cheaper .

My daughter in law buys her boys just about everything on line at really cheaper prices than the shops.

My god your BAG must be a fair bit lighter now ..LOL

Rita that's not the first time I have heard that about FB.

MO that's an awful feeling that a credit card has been cloned, I'd die if that happened to mine, I watch it like a hawk...Its when you buy something and they take your card away from you that I follow that card !! if they take it away I always ask can you do it in front of me ? I think Petrol stations abroad has a bad name for that.

Just got back from my Sunday roast from Sons ...hmm Lovely.

Oh well my nice peaceful weekend was over around 9pm when o.h. got back. He didn't get much of a welcome cos I was watching Wild at Heart. Seems the son is off abroad for work again a week today. The news about the engagement is to be kept quiet with only immediate family here being told, i.e. o.h. his ex, and presumably other son in N.Y. Grandfather isn't to be told or aunts, they want a quiet do or something and the fiancee is hoping to get married this year, not sure why the rush except she is 31 and terrified of not having kids, but truly I see disaster ahead! The son is just like his father and if you keep telling yourself a person has some good in him deep down, well is that a good enough basis for marriage? I would be very wary if I had a daughter saying that and committing to someone for that reason when there are often lots of arguments and the man is working abroad a lot of the time. Oh well not my problem, if she wants to be silly and go ahead with this, then it's her problem, and the fact she poured out her heart to me last year about the way this son treats her is not my problem. Maybe she will see his true colours before they get round to making things legal, any more so than they already are with them buying a house together using the profit from her flat as deposit.

I will go to bed when he gets up for work at 5am and then this is a week where I have to cook every night, think I will try and wangle out of it at least once lol

Morning all
Hope you have a good day

It was trying to snow when hubby put the rubbish out this morning. I do hope it goes away don't need any more of that.

Off to get a few bits for our holiday today hopefully. He's taken the car for a small repair earlier. A part that had to be ordered. Should be away for a few hours so might be able to use the service vehicle

Did some more names last night. Must do more later. But have our son coming to dinner tonight as it was his birthday yesterday. Can't believe he is 29. Where do the years go ?
