Flippin' heck, you lot, what are you like lol?
Mo, you and I sound so alike lol, oh how I long to clonk o.h. on the head with something very hard! Might knock some sense into his bonce! He had the stitches out yesterday from where he had a mole removed on his scalp, said it didn't hurt, and I told him where there's no sense, there's no feeling!!!
Marilyn, I forgot, your o.h. and mine share birthdays!!!! The 5th, right? and mine is 56 now! And Rita, my o.h. is one February bod who is not sweetness and light. I can't begin to tell you the palaver to get out and pick up a present I had had put away at a shop for him, I couldn't get there as he has used the car for weeks and it wasn't on a bus route. All ready to go and he realised he hadn't shaved and that was to get the stitches out, and he had forgotten the apptmt was changed to ten mins sooner so he had a mad rush to get shaved and go. We went to the city centre to try and get him a tidy jacket, fleece type but with a lining, I knew one store had some in their sale and we got there with five mins to spare and got it, a tenner off so under £20 and he will look a bit tidier to go to stay at his son's for the weekend from today, I am hoping it will snow like mad so he can't get home again lol, oh how I would enjoy a week without him around lol We had a big argument walking back to the car, the arrangement was that we would drive to a Brewer's Fayre type place he had chosen to eat at, but he needed the loo as usual - he had already been in the pub near where we parked to use the loo, don't think even he had time to sling a half of Guiness down his throat before he came to the jacket shop, but on the way back he wanted to go in and use the loo again, but to stop and have a drink too. Now he is diabetic and on all kinds of medication which means he shouldn't drink much at all, if anything, and he was driving too as I still don't feel up to it after my fall. I told him if he stopped and drank in there (knowing when if we went in he wouldn't stop at a half pint) he really shouldn't drink alcohol at the restaurant as he would not be safe to drive. Well up went the balloon, so he stormed to the car and hardly gave me time to do up my seat belt before he roared off, saying if he had an accident it would be my fault, as he was driving with his legs squeezed together lol He decided he would go home to use the loo instead of straight to the restaurant, so I pointed out that it was quicker to go to the restaurant and use their loo before sitting down to order. Then he veered off into a side road and drove a long way round to where I thought he would turn off to the restaurant but then he carried on to home. He flew upstairs to the loo and came down all in a strop to listen to a phone message from his father, which he replied to. After more choice words after the call he calmed down and we went out to eat. The meal was ok, nothing special about my steak and chips and the steak was overdone so I got a freebie icecream afterwards lol but he enjoyed his curry so that was ok. He only had a half of cider and when he said he wanted another, I suggested we had a half between us so limiting his intake, he was late taking his meds and I didn't want him being ill in the night as has happened sometimes, so he couldn't travel to his son's lol The thought of him away till Sunday evening is what kept me going all week lol On the way home I made the mistake of mentioning some cars near a new block of flats up the road, where people will park half on the pavement so you can't get through when walking unless you bang into the mirrors etc. He argued that the cars were parked in a layby and wouldn't listen to me when I said they weren't, just kept shouting that I didn't know what I was talking about. I got out of the car to open the front door - our drive is so narrow and shared with neighbour so passenger has to get out before parking - and before I knew it he had reversed the car, catching the neighbour's post and chain fencing on the edge of her lawn, and went off up the road again. He came back a few mins later to say he was right, the car was parked in a layby, but it's obvious he had got the wrong end of the stick as I was talking about cars on the other side of the road lol He is such a dipstick and can't grasp things but his temper knows no bounds when he is in that sort of mood. He said he watched something on tv yesterday and realised he has at least one of the points that autistic people have, well I could have told him that years ago, his nephew is very autistic in that he can't hold down a job and one of his sons shows autistic tendencies too in that he cannot understand how his blunt comments can be wounding, and he often has his girlfriend in tears! What a family, where's that enormous heavy frypan when I need it?

Morning everyone Good to see you on here Liz, hope you will pop in and see us every now and then. Cuppa anyone? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? {_}? |_| Well got the shopping finally. Drove to Sainsburys to find it too busy, couldn't get anywhere near the bottle bank, parking was awful. So off back nearer home to Tesco. Still busy but not as bad. Spent over £100 what on ? Dumped the bottles neare to home. Hubby actually admitted he felt awful last night after having had too many brandies when our friends left. But today he has started a cold................ so maybe that was brewing too, excuse the pun. Might go other shopping today some bits for our holiday, and maybe get my christmas present finally?
Be back later Out to friends again tonight !!!!
Have a good day all
Linda :o) XxX

morning all I took a sleeping pill last night as I had a thick head it waa going a round in circles so I poped a pill. I CHECKED THEY WERE STILL IN USE AS i HAD THEM 1 YEAR AGO I then lay there thinking did I remember to do this and did I put money in Ryans birthday card I will have to phone and asked then I remember I did check I had put it in then I thought about something else next thing I knew it was time to wee and back to bed and up again three times then I slept till 7.30. so I am ready for the day a head. Liz you are funny reading about your OH and Mariyn tell Pete he has along way to go before he catches me up he will feel old when he no longer manages to fly off on holiday. Mo no Darts this weekend ? Have a good weekend Linda. Pauline Shelly and Lady. and Yvonne. I have the hospital results on Tuesday not looking forward to that. My sister and I thought we would have a holiday neaerer to home so we settled for Bournemouth we can get out and about on the bus from there but people were telling me it was hilly so yesterday Sheila caught the train and went there for the day to look around she emailed me this morning to tell me no way will you get about there too hilly all the good hotels are up hills so we thought we would have an early holiday in Weymouth instead. and a later holiday somewhere else.. This GR site I am still typing blind cannot see what I am typing because ti drops down.never mind. Love Rita

Morning all.
I'm sitting here LOL at Liz's post. I think we all need to take our frying pans round and give her a hand to deck him. We could stop off at Mo's first and clobber 'im in doors' as well.
Linda, I don't believe you're out again tonight - you gadabout. The nearest I get to a night out is reading your posts....lol
Good luck Lady, Shelly will be so excited that Dove is in the show.
Rita, forget the sleeping pills, just have a couple of shorts or a nice hot toddy before you go to bed. Mind you, it might make you get up more times to go to the loo. Can't win can you?
Marilyn, your diet went down the drain last night then?
Yvonne, at least your hair will all be the same colour when you get it done, mine usually ends up two-tone. I just pretend it's meant to be that way.
Have we lost Sue again?

Morning All,
Oh Liz sorry I had forgot it was your birthday ,I do remember last year you mentioned it on boards. I will send you a PM. Liz did you take a breath when you wrote your Chapter ..LOL What a story !! Best one so far I'm sure Mo will lend you her Frying pan or whats left of it ...LOL
Its a lovely morning here in Devon, just thought I would start to was what is all in my Ottoman like Spare sheets to give them a fresh start for this year.
I did eat too much Pauline last night because the kids order too much and I don't like to see food going to waste, so I had to eat it !! Then went back to Sons house and had a very large glass of wine !! Killer.....
Now tonight I'm cooking for friends so that's not going to help my diet either .
So Monday morning I will have to run around the fields ,I'll ask Mo & Liz if I can chase their hubby's with the frying pan.LOL
Of to get Grandson his breckies. Edit Morning Sue.....you got problems with your hair !! LOL

Why should you get all the fun Marilyn, we'll all bring our frying pans.....lol
Anyway, you're allowed to have weekends off from your diet, you have our permission.
Sue, you have to cover the grey bits, that way you'll always look younger than him.
