Hi everybody, I was out today and then I got company, haven't had much time. I won't be staying long either 'cause I've got to make dinner now.

Mo, are you sure you didn't wet the bed? You were probably up before Lady today.

Rita, I hope your dad's looking down on you and your sister and smiling at what you're doing with his work. He'll be really proud.

Shelly, I've got sewing to do as well, probably won't get it done though, can't be bothered.

Sue, you've gone now, just when everybody came back...lol

What time will Marilyn get back? She'll need to get wrapped up when she gets here.

What on earth was your OH doing,to split his trousers Shelly. He wasn't doing a moonie was he. lol Or did someone want to park their bike.

Rita you have been a busy bee again. I bet your dad would be as proud as punch,over what you and your sister are achieving in his name.
My goodness,how wonderful that your old home is still standing. In this day and age,they seem to knock so many houses down for no apparant
reason.
The road where all my family lived,has been knocked down,and flats have been erected there. Still I suppose thats progress.

Hi Ladies
Well blood tests are back and my Dr thinks all the tests wanted by the Hospitall are "Normal". I have a copy of them to send as the nurse didn't think they'd been sent yet. So I'll get them off tomorrow.
I am only being watched for Diabetes, thank goodness and they will do the glucose test once a year unless I get any other signs.
The slimming pills the hospital recommeded on Thursday last week are now Banned by NICE. So I have to drop the weight on my own. I have a healthy eating book from the nurse and she now made an appointment with the dietician at the drs !!! In 2 weeks so I need to try to drop more weight by then.
I had littl all day again and for the next 2 days So all 5 days this week. I fell asleep after she left while hubby made tea.

Posted all the wedding invites today, makes it seem much closer. Off to a weddding fair at the venue on Sunday. It cost nearly £20 for the postage !!!

I think Shellys husband was doing the break dance lol good job it was the back part of his trousers that split and not the front I was out with a friend in Norfolk and some blokes where playing around on the pier and his front of his trouser split and he wasnt wearing pants undeneath we looked away quickly I felt sorry for him when we looked back he had his hand over that bit and his neck and face was as red as a beetroot
Shirley and I burst out laughing after we had walked a little way up the pier. I bet he didnt muck about like that again in a hurry.

Dads little cottage where we grew up had been up for over a hundred years when we were living there they were suppose to be pulled down in 1918 but ours is still standing we didnt have a bathroom we had a tin bath on the outside wall and a stone copper 3 bedrooms and a f ront room and back room and small kitchen and scullery

I am here up and ready for the day ahead.. just had a cup of tea and some toast and marmalde that should see me through to dinner time then lunch and off to the hospital for test for RA.
So what have you got planned for today anything special ? I wonder what all those sleepyheads are going to do.
I expect Marilyn will be ready to go home to Devon .

Shelly you should have found abit of material that was suitable to go behind the splt and tacked that into place then small stiches around that and it would have been stronger and last longer as you would have strengthen the tear.
I use to do that with my Husbands trouser only then we had small turn up so I turned the turn up over snipped a bit of that and then over sewed the edges where I had taken the piece from and used the bit I had cut off as a reinforment for the tear.

Yes Rita, that makes perfect sense, a job well done. I just put them in the bin when my hubby splits his trousers, he should buy bigger ones and they wouldn't split.

Everything sounds OK with your tests Linda, but I don't understand why you've put so much weight on when you don't eat the wrong things. I still think there must be something wrong with your thyroid.

Mo, I did roast chicken and chips last night, but hubby wants a fry-up tonight, we aren't healthy eaters - we eat whatever we fancy.

I'm going out again today, might be able to get back on here later today.

I use to cut the leg of old trousers when my husbands had worn them out and keep it in a box I did it with Jeans as well and when I needed to patch I cut a bit of the trouser leg. thats what came of being poor and we were in 1951 till about 1960 when things begain to look up for us. we were 'nt rich then but could afford more.

I got the fiddle playing can you here it.
but I am serious I never threw anything away in those days everything was used in one way of another.

MARILYN'S HOME........!

But its so cold, I have got every possible rad on and the log fire burning away,
might even put the oven on ..LOL

Got loads of washing to do its the only thing that comes with going away.

Just had a hot bath so now I'm back to normal.......well I will be in a few days time as I have put on 3 lbs......so angry with myself but it WILL be OFF in a day or two ! LOL

I got Steak & Kidney pie for tea but Pete will have to eat it ALL !!!!!!!

Got salad at the ready ,managed to get some on the way home from Hampshire ......For ME..!
I would love to have had the Steak pie but not now I have weighed myself.

Linda its hard to loose weight,but I did manage to loose a stone, I think if you have your dinner on a TEA plate that is all you are suppose to eat as doctor told me food should be no bigger than your hand ....and it has worked also if I was a bit hungry in between meals I had a crumpet with marmite on.

Then again walking was a pain for me as I hate walking, but I forced myself to walk every other day for for 20mins.
So good luck Linda, it would have been a good Idea if we lived closer and helped each other out of this nuisance of ours .
We could have have done our power walking together ..LOL

I had a unfriendly Message from a male member ......I asked if he was searching for a certain person giving details of birth etc...
And he has just replied back...... NO........not even singing himself by his
name,some people are funny.
But I had to message back to him a very polite thank you just to let him know I appreciated his reply ...LOL

Oh well back to reality, got loads to do speak later..XX

I am back from the hospital all went as well as it could I suppose the consultant said I had gout and to keep on with the tables he asked me to get a blood test done and a water sample at my doctors also he has increased my steriods to 6 ml a day instead of the 5 ml I have now I have to go back in three months time April he said he wants to keep and l on me so won t sign me off his books.
so one down two more to go tomorrow is my scan the important one to see if the c ancer has grown or stayed the same, I will get that result when I go on 9th to The Royal Surrey

Thought I would let you know I am going to cook some dinner now I am hungry.

Rita, that was a good result, hope it's the same tomorrow. We'll all be rooting for you tomorrow, will you find out straight away if the cancer is any different from the last scan?

Hi Marilyn, nice to have you back. You can't eat salad in this weather, it's too cold, have some of that steak pie. Glad you and your friends liked the emails while you were away.

Aww Shelly, fancy him not wearing those trousers after you made the effort to sew them. You didn't use pink thread did you?

No Pauline I wont know till the 9th when I go back to the hospital to see my condultant. its what they call the waiting game.

It is cold Shelly l have noticed that it has got much colder since 4 oclock I bet the cars will have frost on them in the morning

I cannot seem to concentrate on anything at the moment I am watching Tv and doing a crossword puzzel at the same time l flicked through the boards to see if there was anything of interest that was new but didnt find anything.
My friend has gone to collect her sister from Guildford station she came in from Papos today she said I hope I can find my way in the dark.

Marilyn did you have a good time then and what war gaves cemetery did you go too ? well I am going to get a glass of jucie and sit and watch Tv,

Rita,great news today then. God willing the outcome off tommorrow will be the same. We are all rooting for you love. You cant settle today,as you are probably worrying about your other results. Keep nattering to us,and we will keep you cheered up. Especially our Shelly,she could warm the cockles off your heart,with her tales off her OH,with his BTM showing. And after all her hard work,he didn't wear the darned things.
