Mo, I actually won 4 prizes, a voucher for a hair do, a voucher for lunch for 2, a kids shooting game and a bath-gel gift set. I don't usually win anything - so it made a nice change.

The scan is for my cancer ? I was giving myself injection remember they were making me ill but I persisted it was that or giving up and I was nt going to that . then in october my consusult said she was suppose to make me feel better not worse and after that scan the cancer had stop growing infact the kidney one part had died off and they were surprised.so they told me to leave the injections till 9th Feb and see how I got on so thats what I have been doing.so expect they will tell me to start them again in Feb I have to wait till I have had this scan to see .

Morning Rita and everyone else
Quick hello as youngest is coming around 9, she forgot her phone yesterday and wants me to shop with her for her hen night.

Had a thai meal in Wokingham last night with friends, it was really good, not too expensive either at just over £20 a head for starters, main and dessert.

Be back later

Linda :o) XxX

Hi everybody.

Linda, you didn't tell us what you had last night, hope you forgot your sensible eating for one night.

Rita, you may not need to start the injections again, the cancer might be still under control. Let's hope so any way, we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed.

Mo, I come from a big family, I sometimes get the same email half a dozen times, it takes me ages to sort them out.

You can stop buttering me up - I don't put the lottery on!!!!!

I put it on for the first 2 years and only won one tenner, so I stopped.

Shelly, can I have my questions in English please? Pmsl, I'll have to read them a dozen times before I can even understand them. How are you doing with yours Mo?

Is Marilyn back this weekend or is it next week? She seems to have been gone a long time.

I have to tell you I have had one morning of walking first stop Hair dressers had the full works she said it has grown so long I said yes I can now get rid of the broom
stick I dont like hights.the floor was covered in my hair . I then went into Rymans to get some files and plastic sleevs then into Robert Dyers to get a small jug from there to the card shop to buy 5 cards. then into the bank then across to the post office to post some letters. then home got off the bus c rossed the road to the chemist to collect my warfarin tablets into the sweet shop thought I derserved to have a bar of chocolate for tonight into Waitrose for bread and back home. I found a large bad of books my little friend had left on my step. I am so tired but I have done everything I wanted to .

Hi Rita I am here now. I am late as I had to go food shopping this morning. Ooh what a nightmare, queue's every where.
Come on Linda, make us salivate, about what you had to eat last night.
We are having home made chinese tonight, (frozen from Ic****ds). lol
Pauline I sent my answers to Shelly, last night. But it took me ages to fathom out what they were on about. Being dim dont help. So I don't really know if I helped or hindered Shelly.
Sue,when you mention the horse walker,is that when they put the horses
in water, and get them to walk through it to ease the pressure on their legs?
My lord Rita, did you have roller skates on this morning. All that running around,no wonder you are feeling cream crackered.
Did you have your hair cut, washed and blow dried, or just cut.
I only have the cut,as my hair is so short,it's not worth paying out to have the hairdryer put over it,it's normally dry by the time Gary has finished cutting it.

Rita

Rita Report 23 Jan 2010 15:38

Hi mo
I had the full works with my hair I needed a perk so had the hair washed shampooed, cut to shape and a blow dry I felt like I was floating when I came out. I dont usually go all the way with that I usually have a dry cut but she did it all conditioner as well and massaged my head it cost me £26 I go to the hair dresser where you dont have to book , which is better for me I go give my name and then walk about till it is time for me to go in or I sit and read a book They do mens hair as well.
Mined you my knitted hat is even bigger now as the hair has gone down.

I was tired when I got in though I dont usually do all that in one go.

Mo in Kent Report 23 Jan 2010 17:31

Rita,I can't believe how much it cost's these days,to go to the hairdressers.
How things have changed though,we used to go and have a wash and set years ago,not like these days, when it's a wash and blow dry. And I can remember,my mum doing me a home perm, and ending up looking like a G***y *og,( cannot use proper name as it's innapropriate these days.)
I bought a wooly hat last year, but I cannot wear it,as like you,it looks like a pimple on a babies bum on me.lol

Rita

Rita Report 23 Jan 2010 19:55

Mo that is cheap some places charge much more than that my sister paid £68 for hers. I remember the Home perm I did a f riends as we were going dancing to Hammersmith Town Hall it came out lovely according to her the other two friends asked me to do their a as well I hated the stink of that solution you put on before the rollers go in when I finished theirs l wanted to laugh I was going dancing with three Shirley Temples but didnt laugh as they thought they were the bee's knees.

Do you know what Rita,my daughter is a hairdresser,my ex DIL is a hairdresser, and my sons last girlfriend's the same, but I dont have any off them do my hair,as they would not take payment for it. My argument being that they are missing out on a paying customer,to do me. My wet cut cost's me £15.00,but I know that elsewhere is a lot dearer. I have had Gary do my hair for about 16 years now,and when he left one shop,I followed him to his next shop. When I first went to him,a cut cost me£9.00

~Whippet Lady~ Report 23 Jan 2010 20:26

On Wednesday at about 7pm i made a big mistake!! I was going to download IE8, I started then decided against it, shutting all the openings thinking that would stop it!!!! Was then called for my dinner so the comp was left for nearly an hour. I can't remember how it was when I returned but it wouldn't even let me view windows...the air was blue and I was not a happy bunny.
Thursday morning arrived and was about to get in my car to go to work & the blooming thing had a half flat tyre!! Borrowed mothers car to get to work & a friend of my boss was going to look at comp. Managed to fit in getting tyre sorted & drop off comp thursday afternoon. I had to watch TV & talk to mother that evening!!
Friday morning at 04:30 woke up to find I was having a nosebleed...don't know why but it stopped and was awake until 06:00!! I did go to work but not quite right, felt a bit lifeless. Picked up comp at work.
So that was the short version and had my 3 things happen & all seems well now

Lady you have have had a time of it now three things everything else should go smoothly for you for a few months at least.
Mo whay didnt you let one of them do your hair for you, they would not have asked if they had not wanted to do it. you could have brought them a little present instead.to show you appreciated

I dont go a lot to the hairdresses only when it get out of hand cant afford to go too often but it is nice feeling when I do go
I was looking at the Topic board and someone said all she saw was AZ and she is right that board seems to have been killed off by all the AZ what amazes me is how do the know if someone else has not put down what they enter now surely they dont scroll from number 1 to 10.000 odd evrytime.
