Maddie I hang my head in shame. i had some spare doughnuts but I gave them to some of my friendds I knew who had younsgters. Anyway aren't you all meant to be on diets? :-D :-D :-D
My special curry was nice. I think it was more filling than the normal chicken curry becuase I couldn't eat it all.
The concert I went to was very good. It was really a jazz/swing concert performed by the students.
your day sounds good Linda. I bet your tired now.

Stephen I recommend curry beans. They''re nice. :-)

Hi All
Bak home been here about an hour. Got the slightly earlier train back under the water.
We had a lovely day and the weather was really kind, sun all the way and dry too.
We had a good shop, getting wine, lager and foods that are different to home. Didn't spend too much either.
Had a lovely meal in Bolougne. I had Scallos in a sauce to start, then duck( sliced breast) with a fruit sauce roast potatoes and green bean hot salad. followed by a raspberry dessert. It was delicious.
Had a drive along the coast back to the tunnel and found a museum set in a huge bunker...................... boy that was interesting. The men found it good too.
Have had tea of fresh french bread and pate, then a lovely cup of english tea.

Mo could I please have the baby photo too. Thanks

Hope you all had a lovely day especially Pat on your birthday.

No messages about Mum and Dad so I assume no change

Linda :o) XxXX

Isn't it strange how when you have a plate of Beans you can smell them for ages afterwards ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

I spoke with my American cousin for the first time last night. It's good to have a Family contact in the USA . I wish I had found them a few year back when Lady Stephen and I were touring in the States. We either passed through or stayed in towns where my relations live. Next time we're over the Pond I'll be able to visit them.

Yvonne.....
.My American cousin is the one who is into Horses.....in a BIG way. She had just returned from competing in Spain. Must be great eh !

Having a nice relax just now.......then it'll be time for my domestic chores. :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

WATER,

What a lot of problems would be solved if many of the 'underdeveloped,'
Nations had access to that.

Desalination Plants to convert Sea Water to Fresh Water built around the Coastlines and the water pumped to where it is needed.

They can pump Oil from Alaska for the greedy West. Why not water to the thirsty Nations?..

BECAUSE then they would become stronger and not need to rely on the help of others. The tables would soon turn in their favour.

GREED........POWER........The curse of Humankind.

Off the Soapbox.

you are so right Dermot and Marilyn.
I often wonder why other countries never try to get these dictators like mugabe out, they seem to get away with everything, they are just as bad as saddam, but they are left alone

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 15 Jun 2011 13:34

Dermot.

I totally agree with you.....this world is a mess.

All money's that is collected NEVER seem to go to the right people.

Take this Ugandan President ( Musseveni) got his £30 million JET on money given to his country from UK & European Union. Although I did read that he received this money under the labour government between 2008-9
That cant be right !!!!!!! hope this government sees sense and stops this money from going into the wrong hands, the poor MUST be fed & clothed but how can we do that ... without going into the wrong hands ??????
