Good morning everyone.
Brrr it's cold here today, and it looks like we are in for another wet windy day.
Oh boy shopping today, more expense. It will soon come to a point when we need to take out another mortgage, to feed ourselves.
How the hell can they put the prices up so much, from one week to the next.
If we spend £50.00 on the weekly food shop, you can bet it's gone up to £55.00 the next week.

Marilyn, I was at darts last night that why I was a.w.o.l , did ya miss me.

Maddie and her bright ideas, getting us in training for next years Olympics is killing me.
All this swimming may be good for me, but my skins beginning to look like a pickled prune. And the fins and gills I am starting to develope, are a bit of a nuisance.
I may need to start another form of training to get fit.

Linda, I hope there is some good news today,re mum and dad.

The sun may have got it's hat on up North but down South the hat would be more apt if it were a souwester :-P
I'm glad it's Friday today :-D

Looks a bit cloudy here, showers are forecast so dont think it will be a good drying day.

Good Morning All.

A bit grey outside. It threw it down yesterday, and we are to have a repeat today. I KNOW the gardens need it, but crickey, it IS June. We should be having a bit of sun.

I hope everyone slept well and are feeling fit as a flea this morning.

OK, to round the week off nicely, a five mile run, and a 10 mile bike ride. That should get me in the mood for work. :-P

SIL coming this week-end. Will pop in when I can.

I phone my sister once a week and thanks to texting, Facebook etc when I see her it doesn't seem months like since I last saw her.
Funnily enough I'm seeing her this weekend. :-)

i jump on the scall today and lost nothink and iv been trying to walk as well
so looks like i will have to try hearder was hopeing to loss a stone by christmas but dont think i will at this rate

I have been tiding up my tree as I have got a Rellie coming to see me on Monday so I have got to have it all ready for him ,His mother is my Dads first cousin.
He used to own a Fish & Chip shop ...I wish I'd known him then I 'm sure I would have had free Fish & Chips !!

How often should 'grown up' children call their parents?

Once calling home meant a long wait outside a public payphone every week with a big bag of change. But new technology has changed the way in which parents communicate with their children. No wonder the mobile phone has been called the longest umbilical cord in history when parents can speak to their children on a daily or hourly basis.

But, how often is too much?

Dermot, I wonder how many people really listen to the instructions given before a flight.

An aeroplane is the only mode of transport where some time is taken to show the passengers how to get out - five miles up wearing a life-jacket attached to a torch & a whistle.

A parachute might be more appropriate!
