Hi Rita,
I'm glad you had a nice time away.
I've been to Saltram House with my sister and brother in law and then we went to the town centre to look round the shops. Brother in law wanted to have a look at the model shop there. Mary and I went round the precinct.

Dermot,
I'm English and proud of it! :-)

Oh so true Dermot never say never we no longer have an England we have an isle and even that is lost to EU. we are told what to do who to buy from what we can sell what we cannot. who we take in what jobs should go to who, and give aid to others when we need it ourselves. we have a government who dont speak for themselves . they speak from brussell. the old boys school of we will help.
The dont tell anyone what they plan to do they do it without asking the public when they spend our money. not out of their pockets.out of ours.

Rock ? Marilyn whats that? that red stuff that is hard and snaps when you eat it and damges your teeth tut tut. lol
The rock factory was still there they have been there for donkeys years people stand around and watch it being made. I didnt buy any.

I did buy myself a long white skirt with large leaves on for my holiday. I was unable to get my long white cotton slip. I told my daughter she got on the M & S thread and guess what? I got them on order two and they are only £10 each. they deleiver as well it costs five pounds but that is for your goods.
I came back to a heap of mail I had to push the door hard to open it. I had an invite to a strawberry party run by Goldworth care the people who to and fro me to hospitals. and one from the Rotary club for aan afternoon out with them for a tea at a garden centre after a trip in the countryside in Surrey.
I also got a scan appointment the professor said he would get it for me and he did for the 29th of this month. so I have a busy month ahead of me. dentist on Monday. foot dotor on friday this week. and a heap of washing to do. some I left till I got home.
I have just finished answering me emails. so that is another thing out of the way.

see you later

Dermot Report 18 Jun 2011 16:52

Goodbye to my England, So long my old friend.
Your days are numbered, being brought to an end.
To be Scottish, Irish or Welsh that's fine
But don't say you're English, that's way out of line.

The French and the Germans may call themselves such.
May Norwegians, the Swedes and the Dutch.
You can say you are Russian or maybe a Dane
But don't say you're English ever again.

At Broadcasting House, the word is taboo.
In Brussels it's scrapped, in Parliament too.
Even schools are affected, staff do as they're told.
They must not teach children about England of old.

Writers like Shakespeare, Milton and Shaw
The pupils do not learn about them anymore.
How about Agincourt, Hastings, Arnhem or Mons
When England lost hosts of her very brave sons.

We are not Europeans, how can we be?
Europe is miles away over the sea.
We're the English from England, let's all be proud.
Stand up and be counted - shout it out loud.

Let's tell our Government and Brussels too.
We're proud of our heritage and the Red, White and Blue.
Fly the flag of Saint George or the Union Jack.
Let the world know - we want OUR ENGLAND BACK!

Quiet on here today. :-(
Everyone must be busy doing exciting stuff.
I've been trying family tree builder on my computer but am getting in a muddle :-S :-S :-S I didn't have my tree backed up anywhere or saved and it was worrying me in case I lost it. I exported GR tree and hope I've done it right. I am so hopeless with technology.
Going to get a bite to eat now and give it time to settle before I set off on walk at 8pm, will pop in later and let you know how it was.
Mo hope your grandson had a lovely birthday and enjoyed his party. Sneak me a bit of cake later, lol. :-D

The Caravan my Son in Law and daughter had rented was 6 birth and was not far from the beach 5 minute walk. but it was soft sand so I found it difficult to walk on but managed. my lovely sea view is now dotted with wind turbines. such a shame.

I went and visited my friends and neighbours one I had told them by email I was coming the others my next door neighbours I had not told them so they were open mouthed when I rang their bell. we had a nice chat and a cup of tea .and big hugs when I left.
At the bottom of the road my Bungalow was in the RSPB people are on guard they have fenced that part of the dunes amd beach in as the "little Terns " are nesting they will hatch eggs in August. They use to nest on the Yarmouth Beach but it appears they have worked their way along the coast line to Caister on Sea
. I went to see my best friend who now lives in Lowerstoft and spent the morning with her and her granddaughter Abbi.

Morning all and thanks for still keeping my parents in your thoughts.
Dad had the angiogram yesterday. It has been decided that they will try medication to help his problem? They hope to get him home next week. Mum is still in the respite hospital.

I am getting the dizzyness again, on the last couple of tablets. Oh dear. Blood pressure was read first on an automatic machine and sky high !!! Then an old fashioned one and much the same as Monday 154/80 so OK.
Really bad night, slept poorly and much room spinning. I have an appointment to see the same Dr but not til 2 weeks, so might have to phone Monday and see if I can get an appointment with somebody else. If nothing else I will need more tablets.
I was up at 5:00 this morning with hubby as I couldn't lay any longer but I have dozed on the sofa.
Won't be doing much today methinks. Waiting for the washing to dry that got soaked yesterday.

Have a good day everyone

Mo thanks for the photo they are all bonny girls(yourself included !! )

Morning All, grey again.

So only me and you and the chickens up so far Stephen. :-)

Shame on you. Tuts. :-0

Just gonna take a trip down to the Supermarket in a mo to get a last few things for SIL visit today. Got some lovely strawberries yesterday, so will have them with meringue and cream. Don't know what we will be having for dinner yet, just keep my eyes peeled for something nice.

The flowers are glorious, I do so love having cut flowers in the house, but do not always buy them cos they are so expensive. A decent bunch is no far short of a tenner, and I get very mean with myself, thinking of what else I could spend the money on. :-(

Have a good day each. Hope you all slept well.

See you when I can pop back.

Today I will be more constructive. No more Sloth like antics from me

The weather forecast for today (for my area) was dry and sunny until noon, and then heavy rain until Sunday. I decided to work in the garden until the rain came................ I was there from early morning until early evening and no sign of rain. We had a few drops about half an hour ago (10.30pm) and that was it.

I'm wondering if the BBC actually know where the North East is.

Hope it stays dry for you Cath, take no notice of the forecast!

Good advice Stephen, but a bit late......... I'd already given the wrong answer to the question........... :-D

Maddie, the only bit I didn't get was............ 'its taters in the mould'. Oh, I've just realized.............. 'cold!!' I must be bilingual as well. :-)

Marilyn, are you seriously suggesting our Stephen is past his best? How could you say such a thing?

Hi Gang,
When will this rain and wind go away :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
Better not rain tomorrow night when I do charity walk, don't fancy trekking along in the wet.
Been a busy bee today and not had much time to myself so hoping for a bit of time to do some research tomorrow and add a few bits to my tree.
Gypsy is waiting for her bedtime walk so better take her,
hope everyone is well,
